The Void

Aftermath

-----JAX'S P.O.V-----

I watch as the people attack the guards and kill them in cold blood and I cringe in horror at the sight of so much blood being spilled. Out of nowhere I feel someone wrap there arms around me and I look down at Rainy's Messy hair.

"I've missed you so much!" She starts crying into my shirt and I hug her back and look around at the people who still stand and I notice a familar face walking towards me and I almost cry out with joy.

"You look like shit" One laughs and Rainy pulls him in and we all hug and I notice for the first time I think we could survive the coming days of the Infection.

As we stop hugging three others walk up to us all of them covered in blood and I know its not theirs.

"One are these the friends you were talking about?" A lady with long hair looks at one and I then look at the two guys behind her and notice that they carry guns they must have used to escape.

"Yeah this is Rainy and Jax, Rainy and Jax this is Havana, Aiello, and George" One points us all out to each other and then we all study each other.

"Nice to meet you all, I came over to ask if you wanted to join us and make a little group since we are now free of this place we have decided to take the trucks and find some place to call our home" Havana looks at us and we all look at her and nod.

"Good let's get a move on" Havana calls everybody left to the trucks and we load up what we could salvage from the guards and anything we had and we leave.

I look at One who is starring out a window and I can see that place had changed him and the I look at Rainy who is sleeping on my shoulder and I kiss her forehead before laying back a bit then I notice Aiello looking at me and I give him a questioning glance.

"I was going to ask what you did before the world turned to shit" Aiello look at me with a calm expression. 

" Well I lived with Rainy and I was just starting out as a Carpenter and I was learning to build houses..." As I think of the Past I start to tear up a bit but then look back at Aiello and he looks like he understands my pain.

"Well I was a mechanic and I worked mainly on Motorcycles....I lost my family to those...things and now i'm helping Havana with her vision of building a safe place for everyone" Aiello shrugs but I can tell by his face he is in pain just thinking of his family.

"I was an orphan and I had nothing before this I ran away from the place that I was sent to when my parents left me" One's voice is barely audible but me and Aiello both look at each other thinking the same thing.

I then look out the window watching the fields of wheat sway in the wind knowing it will never be harvested just like the world will never be the same.

-----Time Skip Next Day-----

I grip the wheel tight as I drive behind the line of armored cars thinking of nothing but the sound of the car and the place we are heading to. I then glance to my right seeing One sleeping and then look back seeing Rainy and Aiello sleeping and I smile before looking ahead again. Then I notice to our left a car sitting on the edge of the road with a dead person inside and I cringe a bit.

Then all I hear is a loud explosion and the car in the very front turns to flames.
