"Why have you come here?" A hand wraps around my chin holding my head up towards the voice but all I can see is blurry outlines.
"I told you....We were getting supplies....to fight bandits who killed our people...." I struggle to speak since my face is swelled from being beaten.
The man snorts with frustration and he is about to swing before another blurry outline stops him with a serious but very quiet voice.
"You think he is talking about those people who keep taking our stuff from us?" The voice of a woman comes from the blurry figure
"No Dawn I think he is just another crazy person from the side of the street looking for something that's not there" Before he swings another man stops him this time sounding quite serious
"Stop Dale I think he might be telling the truth" The other man grabs Dale and pulls him away from me then he bends down infront of me and I start to see him.
"Hello my name is Ryker, sorry about Dale he was angry because he thinks everyone we come across is bad people" Ryker starts to untie me and offers me his hand which I take and he pulls me off the ground.
"So about those people what did they do to your people?" Ryker looks at me with a concerned friendly face.
"They murdered 5 of our supply runners and they shot two more of ours" I look at him with an exhausted expression finally feeling the pain from where the bullet hit my side.
"Damn...Well I think the people that attacked you are the same stealing supplies from us" Ryker looks worried and angry at the same time
"Now I wanna ask you a question...Can you please take me back to my group?" I look at him with hopeful eyes
"No to dangerous we can take you in the morning" Ryker sits down against the wall and I sigh sitting down near him.
After a long moment of silence I begin to look around noticing where in a very small apartment with a closet o one end stacked with supplies and guns and I look more closely and see my sniper. Then I turn my attention to the lady named Dawn looking at me with a worried expression.
"What?" I look at her worried that I did something wrong
"It's just that you seem different somehow and I can't make it out" Dawn looks rather interested that I noticed her starring at me and I begin to feel weirded out and want to go back to the town with Rainy.
"So how many people do you guys have in your group?" Ryker looks at me with a blank face
"About 25 to 40 but most of them are women and children except for about 15" I look back at him with a questioning face and you would think he read my mind because he answered my question before I asked it.
"I was just making sure I knew what I was taking you back and before you ask we have 4 people you've met Dawn, Dale and Me but we also have a friend named Kai but she likes to be called Sky over anything else" Ryker nodded changing his blank expression to a smile.
"Oh sorry about shooting you earlier" Ryker said with a nervous smile
We seem to sit in silence for awhile before I start to dose off and the last thing I see is Ryker checking out the window for danger.
----Morning Location: outside Ryker's safe house----
"Remember be safe!" Dawn waves to us with Dale behind her looking pissed off still as me and Ryker get in a Jeep with metal over the side windows and metal poles over the front window.
Next thing I know we are driving down the high way pushing cars out of the way with a snow plow. I watch as we pass a group of infected chewing on what looks to be a deer and I start to wonder how those clumsy bastards were able to take down a whole deer.
"Were stopping soon to pick up Sky" Ryker said with his eyes focused on the road ahead
"Wait you pick her up out here?" I look at him with concern and awe at how a human could survive out in the apocalypse alone.
"Yeah she Radios when she wants to be picked up from a run and I'm not going to your base alone because I would be stupid to trust someone when I just met you yesterday and keep in mind I shot you so you can't blame me for being worried all I could known is were heading to a bandit hang out or something" Ryker keeps his eyes on the road and I notice the farther we go from the city his hands grip the wheel more ad more.
Just then we pull the Jeep to a Stop and the back door opens and a Women with blue hair sits down behind me and I know that must be Sky.
"Um Ryker if you don't mind me asking who the hell is this with you?" Sky looks rather interested than mad
"I told you we were going somewhere with someone" Ryker said in a calm voice.
"I didn't expect a random person you got of the street or something" Sky yells her voice raising as we start moving again
"He knows about the bandits" Ryker says and then Sky sits back without saying a word more and I become worried.
Then I notice a sign on the side of the road saying: Now Leaving Hell Don't Return.
I think to myself Hell is only beginning
