JENNIE

Yesterday has been a great day for me. We laughed most of the time when went to the orphanage. Chaeyoung is a fun person to be with, unlike my boss always annoys me most of the time.

Jisoo and I have bought a lot of food while Chaeyoung and my boss preferred to donate money to the orphanage instead. Jisoo and Chaeyoung look cute together, though. She is such a caring person. She even offered to take her home.

Jisoo denied, but she insisted. If Chaeyoung really likes my best friend, I will support her. I think Jisoo will have someone that cares for her for the rest of her life. I am happy for her.

When we arrived there, the children were so happy to see us. By seeing them that happy made me feel the same as them. It reminded me of my childhood life. I used to be a child with no one staying beside before I met Jisoo.

Even if I have lived with the owner of the bakery shop where my parents abandoned me, I have never got the warm feelings that every child should get because the owner also had his own children, so I couldn't blame them.

Anyway, thank to him that I was able to graduate. Talking about him, I miss him so much because we have lived together for almost twelve years before he ran away because of his shop going bankrupt.

I look at the full-length mirror in front of me to see my reflection on the first day of my job. I have woken up since five o'clock in the morning because I am a little nervous about my job. This is the first time; I work for what I have learned in the university.

Today, I decide to wear brand new clothes that Mrs. Manoban has bought for me. I wear a black pencil skirt with a white long sleeve top tucked inside my skirt, also, a green cardigan along with my top. I take one of the black high heels from under the closet, putting it on.

For, my hair, I just let it fall down on my shoulder.

I do a little makeup and go outside to see my boss, sitting on the couch, watching the news on a flat TV screen hanged on the wall.

"Boss, I am ready."

Her eyes still remain on the TV screen, "Okay, go first."

"But, Bos-"

She cuts me off, "I said go firs-"

When her eyes land on me, I feel a little uncomfortable because she widens her eyes as if I were a ghost. "Is something wrong?" I ask.

"Boss, your cheeks are red. Are you catching a fever?" I add.

"N-no," She stutters. "We can go now." She takes the remote from the table, turning off the TV.

All the ways to the parking lot, boss doesn't even give me a glance. Her gaze remains to the front. I don't know what's wrong with her, though. Actually, this is not the parking lot from yesterday, it's the private one for someone who lives here.

When I enter the garage that boss said it's her private one that all the cars belong to her, I feel so fucking astonished to see at least ten cars there. Wow.

I wonder if these all are really belonging to hers. All of them cost more than my old apartment ten times. As if she could read my mind, "All of these are mine."

She says as she heads to a Yellow M4 Convertible at the corner of the garage. She opens the passenger seat for me as I say, "No, it's okay, boss. I can sit at the back."

She glares at me, "Hasn't anyone told you that refusing someone kindness is rude?"

"Um- Thank you," I murmur, entering the car.
