LISA

"Yesterday was her birthday,"

I glare at her which makes her back off a little, "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I went to your company to tell you even though Jisoo warned me not to, but you were so busy, so I came back home and about to call you, but Jisoo asked me to accompany her to take her to the hospital because she didn't feel well, so I kind of forgot to call you. Sorry," She bites her bottom lips as a sign when she is guilty.

My eyes widen in realization, "So, Jisoo didn't bring Jennie up yesterday?"

She shakes her head rapidly, "No, I was with her since evening until the night before we went back to her apartment. I asked her about Jennie's birthday, but she said that Jennie wanted to spend her birthday with you this year, so she didn't bother about it."

"Lisa, what happened?"

"She said she asked Jisoo to take her home yesterday. If didn't call her, how could she go home?" I ask, looking at my friend for an answer.

"I don't know, but maybe she called a taxi."

"Oh," My shoulders are a little relaxed.

"But, I still don't understand why my pictures are out on the internet!" I hiss in anger.

Chaeng smirks, holding my shoulder, "Don't you remember you are a billionaire sole heir of the Manoban companies. You are in the limelight, and you shouldn't be confused about that."

I cringe at her answer, but it is kind of true. "Chaeng, I think I have the urges to kill someone who took my photos right now. Those people are better fuck off after posting it on the internet."

"Well, calm down. You should find a way to deal with Jennie first. She is hurt so much."

"I know,"

She gets up and pulls me into a hug one last time, "I have to go now,"

"Where are you going? I'll take you there."

"No, it's okay,"

"But your car-"

"I can grab a taxi. You have something to do more important than do I."

"At least, take one of my cars in the garage." I offer.

"Well, okay. What is the perk of having the billionaire friend, huh?" She asks sarcastically as I hit her on the arm.

"Ouch,"

I head to my desk, bringing her the keys of my white Mercedes-Benz as she takes it and smirks, "Thanks, my billionaire friend,"

"Fuck off before I get it back and make you walk home."

She laughs loudly before running to the door as she shouts, "I'll have someone bring it back by noon."

After she left, I head to my dresser in my room and bring out the pristine chocolate that Jennie gave me as a gift when we were in Hawaii. Gazing at the chocolate, I smile bitterly because this girl knows everything I like. Not to mention, she really takes good care of me when she was here.

Tears fall down on my stupid face while I look at the thing in my hands. Wiping it with one hand as the other one clutches it as if I was afraid of losing it. I don't know I am that kind of emotional person until now.

Keeping the chocolate back in its place, I walk to the kitchen, seeing many different types of food on the table. That hits me like electricity. It only means that last night Jennie didn't eat anything as she waited for me to celebrate her birthday. I can't believe I did that to her.
