Chapter Thirty

LISA

"Spill it out! Why did you come here?" I ask Chaeng as she sits in front of me when Jennie goes outside to bring us some coffee.

"Wow, Lisa. I've never seen you like that before. You're really obsessed with Jennie that much. I can't believe it. I've never imagined that someone could capture your heart again after that girl. And, I am happy to know that it's Jennie." She says with a smile on her face.

"You're happy about it because Jisoo is her damn friend," I smirk at her in an annoyance.

"I can't deny it, though." She laughs shamelessly.

"But, Lisa. She is a good woman. Don't lose her or you won't die peacefully." She whispers seriously.

"Sorry, buddy. I have no plan to lose her to anyone in this fucking world."

"Alright, Lisa. I came here to tell you that Jisoo-"

Ring Ring~

I hold my hand up, telling Chaeng that I have to pick up my phone in case there is an investor who wants to talk to me personally.

Walking out to the glass window of my office, I answer the phone, "Hello,"

As I hear the voice, I regret it immediately, "I don't have any time to talk to you, Yeri."

"Please, Lisa. Come tonight, and I won't bother with you and Jennie anymore."

"No, I don't have anything to talk to you. Please stop, now!" I scowl even if she can't see what I am doing.

"Tonight, meet me at 8 o'clock at my place. I will send an address to you. If you don't come, I don't think I can survive one more day."

"What do you mean you can't-"

She hung up before I could ask what she meant. Although I don't have the right to care about her anymore, deep inside I know I still care for her as a person I have known.

After a few seconds, I see her message of her address. I sigh and walk inside, seeing Chaeng looks at me in curiosity. I know she wants to ask me, but she shuts up, not wanting to inquire me maybe because of my sour face.

"Look, Lisa, I want to tell you that-"

"Lisa, the meeting starts in five minutes. I think we should go to the meeting room now." Jennie comes, giving us coffee, and cutting off Chaeng again.

"Emm, I think I should go now. You go to the meeting, and I will call you after that." Chaeng smiles, and I go to the meeting room with Jennie beside me.

In the room, I couldn't fully focus on it because I wonder I should go to Yeri's or not. After finishing, I glance at my wristwatch, realizing that it's seven and thirty minutes already. Shit!

I am about to call and tell Yeri that I can't go to hers tonight because I don't want to when Yeri sends me a message of a large number of pills in her hand. I don't fucking know what it is, but my heart beats so fast at the thought that she could kill herself or something.

I bolt to the elevator, forgetting about Jennie when I hear her calling me from behind.

"Lisa! Wait for me."

I turn back, "I am busy,"

"Lisa, I want to tell-"

"I said I am busy," My voice goes a little harsher than I expect. I see her face falls gradually, and I regret it immediately. "I am sorry," She murmurs.
