LISA
Yesterday, I was on fire is a way to describe my feeling when I saw Jennie leaving with that guy, Hanbin. I swear he never is a pain in my ass when Jennie doesn't work here, but now it seems like he is one.
"Another coffee, boss" Jennie hisses before going outside of my office, looking so annoyed at me. Why?
Well, she has already brought me four cups of coffee to me today. Seeing Hanbin came to her this morning didn't help my feeling at all, if anything, it makes me grumpier than I already am. It's fucking pissing me off, destroying all of my sanity.
"I think I don't need another-" I say when I see Jennie opening my door, but she cuts me off with a mischievous smile on her face. "What?" I inquire impatiently.
"No, I don't come here to serve you another coffee, boss. I am coming here, telling you that it's time for lunch. Can I go now?" She asks.
I am glad that she informs me first. I don't want to guess anything when she leaves without any information. Who am I, again? Her boss who acts like her possessive parents. My thought is telling me. I cringe at myself.
"Um, okay." I simply answer.
"Jennie," I call her again when she is about to leave and turns back to me. "Huh?" She states in confusion. I have to say that her face is adorable when she is confused. My minds! Ugh! What's wrong with me?
"I don't have anyone to eat with me this afternoon. Can you go with me?"
She gives me a gummy smile, and I swear that I have seen it somewhere before. Everything that relates to Jennie is giving me something that I want to know, feeling like I have known those things before, but can't put a finger on it. It's so frustrating.
"Sorry, I have a date this afternoon." She says in an apologetic way. I frown at her answer. Who the fuck is she talking about? Maybe, it's Jisoo? But I doubt Chaeng will come, too because these days, my best friend rarely comes to see me since her girlfriend has been back. When I got a little irritated about it, she said I couldn't because her girlfriend was away from her for a few years, so she needs to spend time with her to make it up for them.
How about me?
"You can wait." She said to me when we were on the phone.
"Alright, if it's Jisoo, I think-"
"It's Hanbin." She cuts me off again, and this time it makes me scowl at her more. "Why is this guy always with Jennie?" I mumble softly, not wanting Jennie to know that I hate this guy because I don't have any plausible reason to tell her why.
"If you don't have anything else, I think I should go now. He is waiting for ten minutes now." She says.
"Tell him you can't go." I ignore her reaction.
"WHAT?! It's time for lunch. If I still remember, I know that this company allows their staff to eat lunch, right?" She is fuming now. Her face reddens. Her brows curve in an annoying way. It's not a good sign, but I can't let her know that she intimidates me even a little.
"I didn't say you couldn't have your lunch, Miss. Kim. What I am trying to say is that we will eat together." I smirk, seeing her bewilderment.
"How about Han-"
"I swear if you say his name again, I won't let you leave this office for the whole day. I have already told you, and I will do it." I look at the door, avoiding her gaze that is shooting at me like a gun now.
"You are my boss. Not my parents. You don't have any right to tell me to eat lunch with you, and if I don't, you will keep me in this office like in the clink as if I were a culprit? It's not fair." She says with a breath.
