EDITED
Two days later, Lea and Nickolas sat in the room with one of her doctors, explaining that she would be able to go home through her mum needed to go off to work. Nickolas offered to take her home. Mia is over the age of 18, so she was able to leave with without anyone with her.
Her mum on the underhand she didn't want her to go home. "I can take her home," Nickolas asked Lea sighed unsure what to do "Ok, here is the key, please message me" Lea responded Nickolas nodded almost it was like it was a job or a charity case.
"So if she has another seizure, bring her back in. We would like you to come back in have another scan so we can determine to have chemo" her doctor spoke.
Lea, Nickolas and Mia gulp. "I thought I didn't need chemo," Mia asked "We are not sure, which is why we would like to take blood and have another scan just to make sure" her doctor explained Mia nodded.
"Is it something an operation could fix?" Mia asked with a small chuckle. "We aren't sure, but if we can, it will be our first option." Her doctors said with a smile. "Ok" is all she said with a smile that both her mums and doctors know all too well.
"Ok baby I need to go, call me if you need anything," her mum said "Ok, I will take good of her," Nickolas told lea. "thank you see you later tonight" Lea finished kissing her on the forehead and walking out with the doctor so she could sign the discharge papers.
Once the discharge papers, Nickolas helped Miahla with her bags going out of the hospitable with, of course, his car waiting for him.
"What's your address?" Nickolas asked. Miahla gave him her address, and they drove off in silence. Nickolas was amazed at the amount of tree and buildings in her area. "This is an amazing part of Perth," Nickolas said.
"Umm yeah, it's better in spring when all the flours are blooming," Mia said, looking out of the window. The ride was silent, though it wasn't awkward silence it was a comfortable silence that friends or family would have or even people that we're in a relationship for a year.
"Its this townhouse on the left" Miahla said as they rolled down her street filled with jacarandas still blooming with purple flowers from months ago. "What are theses trees called they are beautiful" Nickolas asked as he got up staring at the old giant jacaranda that was inside the gate but grew out on to the street.
"They are beautiful," he said with a smile "Yes, but comes with a cost, bee's you should wear shoes at all times and make sure you're with pixie when we are outside" Miahla informed Nickolas.
"Why is she allergic to bees. I've never heard a dog elegiac to bees" he asked. "She isn't, but it's a hefty vet bill," Mia explained remembering, times when mum called in the middle of the night to hear the Pixy almost died from being bitten by many bees.
"Your driver can come in if he likes," Miahla asked "it's ok he waits in the car," Nickolas said "Oh um well ok, if you need or want anything to drink or eat you can" Miahla started "Go get it himself" Nickolas finished for me, clearly not wanting him to be in the house with us.
Mia nodded "Thank you again for driving us home," Miahla told his drive "Its no problem" he replied with a smile. They walked through the gate and up to her front door where a yapping pixy came to the door. "You will love her; she jumps up so if you don't like that just say down," Miahla said, opening the front door where Pixy raced out of the house and on to the grass.
"she's very excited," Nickolas said with a chuckle. "Yeah she loves people" Miahla replied
"Where did you want your bags," Nickolas asked
"Upstairs I will show you" Mihala replied with a smile. Whistling to let Pixy know to come back inside. Pixy ran back in at lighting speed, running past the two and upstairs. Nickolas chuckled "there is the bathroom" Miahla started pointing to the bathroom behind them.
"We have a toilet downstairs, and this is well my room or the spare room," Miahla explained. He nodded "So we can go downstairs and watch some tv, or have something to I am starving," Moiahla said, almost licking her lips making Nickolas smile. The pair walked downstairs. Mia brought her laptop and charger. Nickolas followed her like a puppy around her house.
Miahla put her computer on her couch and walked over to the fridge. Miahla groaned. "What's wrong?" Nickolas asked worried "There is nothing in the fridge for lunch" Miahla replied. "Did you want to go get something?" Nickolas asked
"Um yeah there is a cafe down the street, but I don't feel like staying there I'm drained," Miahla said with a yawn. "Ok well why don't we just get a sandwich or something, and we can bring ti back here" Nickolas suggested, "Sounds good," Mia said "Pix wanna go for a walk," Mia asked.
Pixy raced in and started to cry like she was speaking 'yes yes yes'. making Nickolas chuckle. "Are you sure you're ok to go for a walk?" Nickolas asked Miahla. "yeah" Mia replied "Ok" Nickolas replied as Mia grabbed Pixies lead and harness
The pair walk down the street pixy pulling in the leed. "Here let me take her," Nickolas said, "Does anyone call you nick or is it always Nickolas?" Mia asked him. "some of my friends call me nick but everyone else calls me Nickolas or Mr Black" he replied I looked at him, he jaw tighten.
"I'm guessing from the jaw tightening you don't like being called Mr Black or Nickolas," Mia asked "Mr Black is reserved for my father, but the businessmen insist on calling me Mr Black" Nickolas explained.
"You don't like the work you're forced into it?" Mia said instead of asking "How did you guess" he asked with a chuckle "Every time you have come back from a meeting or talk about it you are different to what you are now, laid back, calm and well cute" Miahla said not realising that she adds the last part out loud. Nickolas turned to her smirking.
"You are not so bad yourself," he said, as their fingers brushed, he tangled their hands together, and walked down the street comfortably.
When they arrived at the small cafe, Miahla immediately pulled her hands away when she saw a few people that she knew. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked, holding her back. "Um nothing it's just" She started he looked ahead, seeing a few people look at them. He nodded.
"It's ok" he replied, "Did you want me to go in?" Nickolas asked. "It's all good they are allowed dogs in there," Mia said "Oh, your mum said that Pixy is a service dog," Nickolas said "Yeah she can be I just didn't put her vest on as these guys know, so its all good" Mia replied, Nickolas, nodded as they walked towards the door of the cafe.
They looked at all the varieties of food in the glass case in front of them. "What do you feel like?" Mia asked "Those pork rolls look nice," Nickolas said Mia nodded how about we get those, and something else.
we will need to see if the rice has no fish or oyster sauce in it, But we could get some chips" Mia explained "Chips?" He questions "Sorry fries," Mia said with a chuckle, He nodded.
"Hey, can I help you?" The young girls just a tad younger than Mia asked what she wanted. Mia and Nickolas preceded to ask if any of the heats meal had fish or oyster sauce in it, thankfully they didn't so they grabbed the pork rolls, fries and some a chicken roll, asking for it to be takeaway with a drink each they chose from the fridge.
As the pair walked out with Pixy. "Mia" a young girls voice sounded.
