Chapter five

Georgia left my bags into my car as we walked up to my dad large townhouse, "it looks different" Miahla said, wondering what had been going on while she was away in North Carolina. She's heard a few things but weren't sure if they were real, and every time she questioned her father about it he denied; she was now going to find the truth out, about it. Even though all her health battles, she managed to try to push her father to tell her the truth, though he wouldn't.

Miahla walked up to the neatly swept and washed down limestone stirs. Georgia followed behind her. As they walked closer to the door, she could hear some kids screaming and some new voices she hadn't heard before. 

Miahla knocked on the front door of her father's apartment; though it wasn't him to answer the door, it was another women, that wasn't her other. "Oh, you much be Malaha," she said, pronounced her name ever so wrong. Miahla tried her best not to roller her eyes. "It's Mi ah la," Miahla pronounced correctly.

 "Oh I'm sorry sweetie come in your father is upstairs on a business call, I will go get him for you, come in your family is here," she said kindly that she wanted to hate but didn't.

Like always when she came home if it was just her younger brother and his girlfriend and their mum, or if it was all of them with their partners and kids, with their dad and not his new mistress, along with her cousins.

Once she was finally in the door greeted by everyone, they all sat down on the couch that was neatly spread out just like her father like it, being a clean freak. Her mum was so glad to see her and desperately asking if she was staying home this time since she officially graduated.

"I don't know; I want to stay there cause there are more opportunities their thou if I stayed here I don't know if I would have to do to extra units to work in Australian schools," Miahla told her everyone but mainly her mum.

"Darling, you did what you wanted to do, why aren't you coming home," she asked Miahla sighed not sure why she wasn't coming home, was it because of Nickolas.

"He can't fucking do that, how can they come over here and not tell me at least before, they were meant to do that not tell me as soon as they touched down and want to see me on Monday, I have family events over this weekend" Miahla shoulder

"Um maybe we can go down to the park, can you let my father know?" She asked a man that was probably not much older than her, he nodded as Miahla and her family left, leaving the male on his phone waiting for his mother and her father.

As they let the house and the whole family walked down to the park, she asked her sister if that was her. "yep, and she is overdramatic. Kind of like you but I know she is only here for the money. "And the male, is that her son?" Miahla asked 

"Yep, he is a prick, he won't talk to us, and I think he hates dad," her sister Brenna told her. Miahla nodded. "What's his name?" Miahla asked "Bradley, but if you call him Brad, he will yell at you, if you call him Brad," Brenna told her sister. "Does he have a lady in is life?" Miahla asked 

"Um yes, and she is very quiet and well nice its a weird combination" Brenna explained. Making Miahla smile and nod, looking ta how all the young kids have grown up since she was away for all the years.

"So what are you going to do?" Her sister Brenna asked. "Truthfully I don't know, I wanna be home with all of you, but something is holding me back, and I don't know what it is?" She told her sister as they all sat down on the grass as all the kids played on the playground.

"Mia, would you like to meet your new niece?" Her older brother Luis asked, along with his wife, Andrea. 

Miahla nodded very excited to meet her niece, she wasn't there for any of it, but she was excited that she was finally able to meet her new niece. "This is Jade," her brother said as she handed Jade to Miahla. "She's beautiful," Mia said in aw. 

Both Luis and Andrea chuckled. Lorilie adores her" Andrea speaks. "yeah she must be happy to have a sister," Miahla asked Andrea nodded. "So how long have they being together for?" Miahla asked. 

"what was her name?" Miahla asked "Alexis, and she is different, Michelle probably told you that she is a gold digger and that is very true" Luis explained

Miahla, nodded as she talked to her brothers and sister along with their parents, their mum joined them, desperately trying to convince her youngest daughter to stay back in Perth. 

"Mum, you do realise that I need to go back and get all my stuff," Miahla told her mum. "Mi are you not telling us" her mum questioned, "Nothing, I just I want to live my own life, maybe I want to take a gap year, not work, maybe I want to work in a different country, what if my book career in writing that's the best place to get started," Miahla said 

"Look I'm here for three weeks, ok, so I might change my mind," Miahla said as Bradley came down to us, making all us kids looked at him. "Dad said he finished the call and wants you to come back," Brad said 

"Um well, brad. You can tell him to come down and see me and tell us him-self" Miahla said. He groaned "First of all my name isn't Brad, its Bradley, I'm sure all of your people in North Carolina call themselves that but not me, now please come," he said

 "Well since you used the words please," she said rolling her eyes getting up, bumping his shoulder as she walked past. He rubbed his shoulder while as she walked past she mouthed "OW". While her siblings followed, making her mum get all her grandkids off the playground.
