Colourful secrets of love

Chapter nine

Nickolas looked at her and frowned. "What secret? I thought that you found out one of my secrets" he said suspiciously. Mia looked at him again but was too tired to think. Mia shrugged. "I'm tired," she said. "Ok," Nickolas replied softly knowing what happened had affected her.

A few hours later she woke up again, with no Nickolas though Miahla mother was there. She had no idea what was going on in her head. If it was on straight and she could think, Miahla would also be freaking out that her mother was going to spitfire questions. The poor girl was in the hospital, so she was in luck.

"You're ok, he's has gone back to the hotel to have a shower" lea her mother said. Mia nodded the best she could.

"Everything is ok, your doctors are coming in later, but you will need to stay in for a couple of nights," her mums said, Mia nodding, understanding as these things happened quite a bit when she was a young girl. "What caused it," Miahla questioned. 

"they still don't know, I told them you ladened two days ago so there going with jet lag. They are going to give you an MRI scan full-body, as well as a CAT scan" her mum explained, kisting most of the scans that she would need, like every time she would be in the hospital.

As the morning became noon, Miahla was still waiting to have her scan. As she was watching her one of her TV shows, she heard him, trying to see her.

"Let me see her" The familiar male voice spoke to one of the young nurses who have a crush on Nickolas. "Fine, if you say that she is you fiancé go in and kiss her" she spoke, desperately trying to have him to herself. "What?" He asked, confused and annoyed.

 "I don't believe that she doesn't have a ring on her" she stated. The young nurse was correct, but it was the only way of seeing her, telling a few fibs. "Let's go, come one if you kiss her I will believe you," she said. 

Mia opened her eyes widely at that comment, 'Kiss me, well um this will be an awkward first kiss' Miahla thought to her self. The nurse and Nickolas walked closer to the curtains where Miahla was laying in her bed.

 Her mother sitting in one fo the two uncomfortable chairs Nickolas walked up to Miahla and kissed her. Miahla kissed him back, melting into the kiss with his soft lips on her's. Her mother looked at them smiling but also horrified that she didn't know about this. Mia liked this sweet kiss and didn't want it to end. Nickolas also liked it; you could say felt something.

 Pulling apart, wanting more, they both stared at each other. "This nurse doesn't believe that we are engaged," Nickolas said stilling looking at Mia, trying to tell her that they had to act like are an engaged couple, for now. 

"He has been with me since I got here," Mia said "Oh sorry I just, you didn't have a ring on," she asked in a defensive tone. "That's because I was helping my mum in her kitchen, and well you can't wear any jewellery in the kitchen," Mia said sarcastically, Nickolas chuckled. 

He knew this because when he was first starting working as a nurse for two month's, there was no Jewellery unless it was a wedding ring or well-stylised bracelet or necklace that was tucked in under their scrubs. "I am sorry," the nurse said and walked out. 

"Um, sorry about that," he said to both Mia and her mother. "It's ok. I am going to go get something to eat, did you want me to bring anything back?" Lea asked Nickolas. "No, thank you" he replied kindly to the offer lea asked.

Half an hour after Nickolas arrived, Mia went into her MRI and CT scan. When she came back in, her mother and Nickolas were talking. "Hi guys we will be moving Mia into her room, we don't know if she needs any request so we will have an individual nurse assigned to her room" One of the high-intensity nurses explained. "Ok, thank you," Lea said with a smiled.

Meanwhile, Miahla father was sitting in his office planning what he needs to do during the week to make sure that this Mr Black Jr doesn't score the deal, for his father. "Why the fuck did he have to come, I was meant to go to him to try and stop him from entering Australia," Jay said. 

 raising his voice, annoyed with anger. "The young Mrs black, or the older Mr Black?" Alexia asked. "Both, though I think Nickolas Black is just following his father's orders," Jay spoke, looking at his mistress. 

"How about meet up with him, talk to him" Alexia suggested "Oh and by the way, your phone has been going off like crazy, it's Lea," Alexia said trying to hint to him that something was wrong. "We don't talk unless it to do with our kids," Jay said, annoyed trying to keep off the subject of him and Lea. 

"Ok, well," Alexia said "Let me do my work," Jay said, waving her away, at which she sighed. "I'm going out for a while," Alexia said quietly and upset that he doesn't care. Alexia his mistress that Lea left a message from Miahla phone to let him know that she was in the hospitable, but all he cared about was his work. Alexia didn't like that, about him, she wanted to talk to lea about it.

Alexia arrives at the hospitable meeting up with Lea. "Where is Jay?" Lea asked, handing Alexia a coffee, that she brought for her. "Jay is caught up In this case against the Blacks," Alexia said. 

 knowing she shouldn't be talking about that to his ex-wife. Lea nodded. "Um, I wanted to ask you something," Alexia asked. Lea nodded for her to continued "Was he always this is distance with Miahla?" Alexia asked, wondering why they didn't have much chemistry as a father and daughter. 

"No there were close. I don't know I think it all started to slip away when her health started to decline and when she went off to North Carolina" Lea started.

 "When she was in high school, she wanted to move high schools so bad, because of bullying, though he wouldn't let her, he paid for all our four kids to go to amazing schools that he said she had to finish at the school she was at," Lea said, annoyed but also sad about how her daughter had a terrible time in high school. 

"So how did you deal with it, I mean when I want to go out to events he doesn't want to stay for long, but then he goes off to events by himself and stays out for all hours" Alexia complies making Lea chuckle, nodding her heads. 

"Can I ask you a personal question? "Lea spoke. Alexia nodded. "Are you in the relationship for money or love?" Lea asked. Alexia sighed, looking down at her the disposable coffee cup, tapping the lid.

"I don't know how long I can take it, I thought I was in the relationship for the money, but I would rather love, I am sorry," Alexia said ashamed. 

"It's ok, try and love him, but if it doesn't work, I don't know what to say, maybe he was meant to live alone for the rest of his life, I mean with what he did to me, and how he left me financially unstable with a daughter that has a disability. 

Jay wouldn't pay anything to help with all the days I missed off work for her appointments which he didn't attend" Lea informed his new lover and partner. Alexia nodded two female adults sat outside the hospitable while Mia was in her scans.

 Once Lea received a call to let her know that Miahla is one her way back to the room, they both walked back so they could see her. "don't be offended if she tells you to leave, I think, she feel you are here for the money" Lea told Alexia, she nodded.
