EDITED!

Miahla walked into see her father and the women that wanted to take all his father. "Mia good to see your home," her father said, walking hugging her. "Hi dad," she said, smiling "I see you have met Alexis and Bradley," he said with a smile happy to introduce his new family. Mia nodded

"What was that phone call for?" She asked, knowing it was for business. "Just client unexpectedly turned up," he said with annoyance in his voice. Mia nodded. "How are you? Is it good to be back home?" He asked as everyone else came through the door, as all the young kids ran over to the couch giggling.

"So are we going to start eating?" Mia's father asked, capping his hands together. "Dad, for once can something not be so structured please," Miahla asked "You had the chance to talk. Yes, I would have loved to be involved this that conversation; however, I had a business call I needed to take." he explained as everyone looked at him and Miahla.

"Not now Maihla, you're at my house so, it's my way," he said sternly and a little on edge, making Miahla gulp and feel a little upset. "I just got home, to see you, and everyone that's here," Miahla said upset. "Everyone sits down," her father said, ignoring his daughter.

"Hey Jay, hey calm down," Alexia said rubbing his bag at he rubbed his face as all his kid's brother and sister grandchildren, and ex-wife sat down at the table, talking as they were before when he was upstairs.

Jay and Alexia sat down, next to each other, while everyone else took their places around the large wooden table.

"So Miahla what were you studying in the united states?" Alexis asked, kindly "she's your girlfriend, lover, yet you didn't tell her where I went to university?" Mia asked her father, in an annoyed and upset tone.

"We haven't been going out for that long," he said blushing. "Is that why you couldn't come to my graduation?" Miahla asked her father. He had nothing to say as if it was on cue his phone rang, not wanting to answer he questions, he left the table and walked up in his room and somehow as well as his office Mia talked to the rest of her family about some of the other things that happened.

The family is happily speaking; her father came back down. "Sorry about that," he said, placing his phone down on the table next to his plate. "Why can you have your phone at the table but we can't?" Mia's older brother asked, annoyed. Their father has rules in place, though he breaks them himself. "Because it's for work" Jay Mia's father explained. All the kids just stopped not bothering to talk.

"So Mia how was your graduation?" Jay asked his daughter. They had just finished talking about it. Mia sighed. "If you didn't attend to the call you would have heard, but to shorten to one word. Great" she sad upset that none of her family wasn't there.

"Then why are you upset," Bradley asked. "Umm let's see, none of my family didn't attend my graduation, so I'm a little upset," Ma said with a small tear in her eye, as Georgia rubbed her back. "Why didn't you go," Alexia asked "Because I had work to do" he responded upset that he was being interrogated "You did nothing this week," she told everyone

"Do you know how much it costs to fly to North Carolina, plus the price of food, places to stay and other transport" he asked loudly. His phone rang again.

"NO,!" Mia shouted causing everyone to Jump and Jade to cry. "Sorry," she whispered, turning to her brother. He nodded mouthing its ok. "Give it to me" Mia said annoyed, snatching it from him, giving him her death stair.

"Mia," her father said "No" she roared as she got up and answered his phone. "Hi, I'm sorry, but we are having a family lunch, he can't come to the phone," she said, "And who might I bet talking too?" The male voice said on the other end of the phone. Both of the two people speaking over the phone had thought of who it could be. "His daughter Miahla," she said as the no one answered

"Well thank you now pease stop calling," she said hanging up, walking back leaving his phone near the kitten, walking back to the table. "Mia that was really rude," her father said. "RUDE, what's rude is you, leaving or answering your phone when you have your family around, and your daughter comes home from studying," Miahla screamed upset,

"Georgia is it ok if you give me a lift home, thank you, everyone, making the time to come over for my homecoming," Miahla said smiling at the rest of her family that made an effort for coming.

"Mia, please don't go, just stay, please" Her mother suggested. She sighed. Her mother was right; she didn't want to have to keep explaining herself. Nodding her head, she sat back down and enjoyed their lunch together as everyone finished their lunch.

Waiting patiently, Brenna's and Luis kids sat on the new couch know that Miahla would always bring something back for them.

"Can you go get my bag from the car?" Mia asked her best friend; she nodded with a smile. The family moved over to the couch. "Ok, guys, these gifts are small, ok, but mum and dad told me what you are into at the moment since I am not here.

Miahla gave out her small gifts to her nieces and nephew, as well as her mum, dad, brothers and sisters.

"So Mia, are you staying in Perth because I want to change your room for Bradley," Mia's father said. "it was never my room, so it's fine," Miahla told her father.

"Don't be so cold towards your father, Mahla?" Bradley said knowing that her name wasn't pronounced correctly. Mia gave him her evil eye, making her family chuckle.

"What?" He asked, annoyed "that's her evil eye, its funny, but when she does that she means business" her younger brother Oliver said. Bradley just looked at all the siblings, slumping down in his chair.

"Anyways Mia, you enter yourself into a novel competition, when will you know?" Her cousin Meggan asked "Um two weeks so if I do get through I will need to go back" Miahla stated., Everyone nodded.

"What is your book about aunt Mia," Lexie asked "its a book about something you are to young too read," Miahla told her niece. Her brothers and sister looked at her. Her older sister knew one of her secrets that her brothers didn't, but it surprised them that she would write about it. "University in the united states changed you" her younger brother sad with a smirk.

"I wouldn't say ts changed me its enlightened me to different opportunities in life to studying here in Australia. "Did daddy pay for it?" Bradley asked.

"Nope, I held down a job and paid for everything myself," Miahla said, smiling at everyone.

The large family continued as Maihlas friend left. Mia has cousins left, leaving her and her siblings. With their kids who were sitting with Miahla.

"So I was wondering before and If you go back to get the rest of my things if I decided to Stay in Perth, do you think we could do something for my birthday," Mia asked.

"We just had the family over you should have said something before," Jay Mia's father said coldly. Miahla nodded. Looking at her mum slouching.

"Um I'm tired does anyone mind giving me a lift home," Mia asked sick and tired of her father shutting everything down, that she suggest.

"Mi I can come home now, the Pixy will be happy to see you," Mia's mum said with a smile. "Thank you" she replied to her mother. "Thank you again all for coming. I hope we can do it again," Mia says to her sibling who gives her a warm smile and hugs, as did their kids.

"I didn't know dad had someone let alone someone with another kid," Mia says to her mother. "You know what's weird is that he took me out with her to ask permission if it was ok to date her," she tells me, Mia cringed at the thought of that.

"You guys haven't," she asked her mother?" "No Mia, but what's weird is that we meet up and she complains about him, some being nice I tell her what to expect," she tells her daughter.

"That is weird," Miahla says frowning. "So how was the graduation really," Her mum asked Miahla. She sighed "Honestly, I know you couldn't afford it, but like Dad's new partner said he could've come, but I guess he didn't want to." Miahla said finally said upset, knowing that her mother understood.

"I just hate that he doesn't care, I know I am the last to graduate but why couldn't he come, and help you," Mia said really wanting to cry but didn't.
