Chapter eighteen

Authors POV

The three arrived home Mia excused herself so she could have a rest while Nick spent some much-needed time with his daughter, she wanted to go to the pool however requested for Miahla to come with them so nick told his daughter that they could go to the pool when Mia woke up, for now, she could do as she pleased in the penthouse's perimeter.

 Nickolas took this time to work on the party; he had to incorporate an engagement style to it. As Nick was working on the function, arms wrapped around him. 

"What you doing?" Mia asked, "I am working on the function," he told her. "Um, I was wondering if it will be our engagement party. Can I invite some people?" Mia asked Nickolas. 

"yeah if you want to" he replied as she sat down next to him. "I also should let you know that it's my birthday that day," Mia told him. "WHAT!" He shouts getting the attention of Ellie, who sees Mia jumping up and running towards her. 

"MIA, can we go to the pool?" Ellie asks. "Sure, is Daddy's coming?" Mia asked Ellie. "Yeah, he said we had to wait for you," Ellie replied excitedly. "Ok, I didn't bring my swimsuit" Mia replies. 

 "Oh, you can buy one from the shop," Nickolas tells Mia. "O.. ok," she said nervously. "How about you get dressed Ellie as will I, and we can go down so Mia can buy some bathers," Nick told his daughter who is grinning from ear to ear. 

"Can you come to help me get changed please, Mia?" Ellie asked me politely "Sure let's go get changed," Mia tells her as Ellie takes her hand walking to Ellie's room. Mia helped Ellie get changed into her one-piece swimsuit. "Do you wear footies?" Mia asked Ellie.

 Nickolas's daughter looked at his lover. "No," she replied hand on hip, making Mia chuckle. "All right get your things for the pool, while I get my things for the pool," Mia tells Ellie who nodded.

Mia chuckled walking to where she was staying with Nickolas she grabbed her phone and a few other items that she would need to take down to the pool. Nickolas walked in 

"I hope you get a two-piece," Nickolas said, walking in smirking. "I don't know about a two-piece, maybe a one-piece," Mia suggests. "What about a two-piece for the bedroom?" He asks whispering in my ear from behind. 

Mia blushed shivers ran down her spine. "I.. I um will be downstairs," Mia replied, walking out of the room so he could get ready for the pool.

The three guests walk down the hall to the elevator so they can head to the lobby so Mia can buy a bathing suit.

The three walked into the store. Mia became very nervous; Nick took hold of her hand "Are you ok?" He asked "Just nervous" Mia replied looked ahead not looking at him. "Don't be," he replied, pulling her closer. Mia nodded as they walked towards the swimsuit. Mia looked at a few of the pieces she liked, so she pulled them down while Nick did the same.

It surprised Mia that Nick didn't pick revealing pieces. Mia tired on all the swimsuits she liked the ones that Nickolas picked out, but is worried about showing her scars. One-piece looks piece a two-piece; it showed some of her scars. "Are you ok in there?" Nickolas asks me. 

 she replies, "Yeah, just don't know which on to get". "Ok, you can buy two if you like," he tells her through the curtain. "Ok' she replies quietly, bringing out two pieces that were not two pieces but looked wearable but also cute. 

Nick paid for them so she can get changed to go in the pool with Ellie and Nick. When the three arrived in the pool area, Nickolas took hold of his daughter's hand quickly, so she wasn't able to run and jump in the pool.
