Authors POV

Miahla and Nick lay in bed cuddling. "Good morning birthday girl," Nickolas spoke softly to his waking girlfriend, kissing Mia turning into a make-out session. 

"So are we still having breakfast at your mum's?" Nick asked Mia nodded, not being able to speak from the heaving make-out session. "Good" he replied, "there is something else," Nickolas asked concerned. 

He pulled her into a hug as she nuzzled into his chest. "I'm just nervous. I don't normally do anything like galas. I also don't know how I will go with staying out late," Mia explained to Nick, who was listening to her intently.

 "Ok well if by let's say 10 pm and you're not feeling well we can bring Ellie up to the room, I know this is your first time so I will do my best to make sure you are by my side or at least your siblings are with you," he told Miahla. "Thank you," Mia told her boyfriend, he sighed sitting on the edge of the hotel room bed.

 "Ok, but can I please take you out in the week," he asked her with pleading puppy dog eyes. "Ok" Mia replied smiling.

"Thank you," he replied, crawling back onto the bed, giving Mia a kiss. Little did she know that he brought her a beautiful bracelet from pandora, a shop she had been looking in for a while they were in the city.

"I'll get Ellie ready," Nick said. Mia got out of bed and had a shower getting ready for the busy day ahead, she knew when she got back from her mum's house she needed to have a rest otherwise she wouldn't be able to go to the gala tonight.

Miahla's POV

Nick, Ellie, and I walked into my mum's home with my key. Ellie is holding Pixy by her leash. "Auntie Mimi," Jade squealed, opening the front wooden door. "Hey Jade, did you want to get someone to open the door?" I asked her as she ran back with her two pigtails swinging. 

 A minute later, Andrea came with Lorelie, who's giggling. "Hey Andrea," I say with a smile as she opens the door. Lorelie held out her hands I took her while Ellie and Nick walked in with Pixy racing through the doors to see everyone. 

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY" the all screaming giving me a fright. All the kids came running up to me. I bent down, so I could engulf them in a hug. Mia walked into the kitchen where everyone was sitting waiting for the birthday girl. 

"Happy birthday darling," my mum spoke in sweat and soft tone, "Thanks mummy," I said with a smile. "Come, let's sit down, breakfast is almost ready," she told us as we retreated to the living area a short distance from the kitchen bench. All the kids brought my presents. 

I received many amazing presents from my siblings and their kids. I got; a voucher for Lorna jane, some candy which Jade and Lexie knew I would like and I do, and then plain old Australian dollar bills.

 My mum got me a nice spa retreat while I was back here thankfully at Crown Towers so I could pop down there I stay there while Nick was here. I saw Nick whisper in his daughter's ear. Ellie came back with a small box and card.

"Happy birthday, Mia," Ellie whispered, giving me a hug even though she had already had said it to me this morning. "Thank you, honey," I replied. "And thank you," I tell Nickolas with a smile. I wasn't sure if I should open the card yet. I quickly opened the card looking at it, blushing. I close the card and open the box. I stare at it in awe at the aqua bracelet. 

"Nickolas it's beautiful, thank you so much," I say staring at him, as everyone was staring at us, wanting us to kiss, we gave each other a kiss, I desperately wanted to deepen the kiss, however, with all the kids around. "So how about breakfast," I ask. All the kids ran to the table while all the adults strolled overtaking our seats.

Breakfast was wonderful. I loved that I could spend the morning of my birthday with my family along with Nick and Ellie and I said our goodbye and will seem to them later tonight at the gal that the Blacks would host, with our father.

"Hey Ellie When we get there grandma and grandpa will be there, so we will have morning tea and when we get back, I want to you have a sleep," Nick tells his daughter Ellie nods in reply.

 "I will have a small nap too if that's ok?" I ask Nick. "No worries babe, my parents will probably want on to with the time difference," He explained to me, I nodded and asked him a question "So maybe they could take Ellie for a night so we can have some alone time," I whispered to Nick, smirking he nodded 

"I actually would like to talk to you about living arrangements you know where we will live," he asked me I nodded.

I met Nick's father and mother along with his younger brother Harrison; He is so adorable, I can understand why his parents say Ellie is theirs as she and Harrison are the same age and look alike.

"So Miahla," His mother Celia asked pronouncing it correctly, I looked at her smiling. "Yes," I reply "What do you do, for a job, Nick said that you would work even though you don't need to," Celia asked me. 

"Well, I've always worked, when I moved to North Carolina I worked and provided for myself with the help from my roommate Emily's family," I Explained.

 "Oh your father didn't help you?" Richard asked me. "Um, my father and I aren't on very good terms. I still see him but he didn't understand why I wanted to move there and study when I could study where my siblings studied," I told them which was true. 

"Why did you want to move honey," Celia asked. "I didn't want to have everything done for me or given to me just because of our name here in Perth," I told them as Nick rubbed my back now it was a tough subject for me.

"Mum, Dad, we should get going I want Ellie to have a rest and Mia needs to have a rest too" Nick replied to his parents knowing that I am tired from this morning. 

"Ok, we will see you tonight darlings," Celia said as she gave us a hug. "Babe take Ellie to our room," Nick asked me, nodding I take one of the room keys from him smiling giving him a kiss. "Ellie lets go have a rest" I spoke taking Ellie's hand walking up to their room.

Nicks POV

Once Ellie and Mia headed upstairs to our room while I stayed with my parents. "I'll see you tonight," I told my parents. Hugging them, my mum pulled me into a hug.

 "She is a beautiful young girl," my mum whispered into my ear. Smiling, I gave my dad a hug. "See you tonight," my dad replied I nodded and headed to the salon, asking them if they could come up to help Mia get ready for the night.

Walking into our hotel room, I see the TV on and no one around. Maybe they went to have a sleep and forgot to turn it off. I walk further into the living area seeing that they both were on the couch. I picked Ellie up taking her to her room. I went back down, waking up Mia so they can go have a sleep together before tonight.
