Chapter fifty-three

Authors POV

Nick and Mia laid tangled, the fire is still going the only thing that's changed is Nick got up through the night putting PJ's on himself and Mia, in case the kids wanted to come in during the night.

Thankfully, he did because all the kids came in wanting Nick and Mia to make them pancakes.

The two cooked pancake with the help of the kids, making a mess of the kitchen, they all have fun which is they main idea, Mia and Nick didn't want to worry about the mess, nor did they want Val to clean it up, both the adults wanted all the kids to learn that just like with their toys they need to clean up the kitchen after making a mess.

The kids sat at the kitchen bench while Mia and Nick stood behind the counter eating their breakfast with the kids.

"What are we going to do today?" Ellie asked her parents.

"Staying in today baby, tomorrow is thanksgiving and we need to get the house ready, so maybe we might go shopping a little later and get everything so we can have a great thanksgiving." Mia told the kids.

Once the kids finished their breakfast Mia sat them down in front of the TV until their parents woke up, which wasn't long, they came down in comfy clothing.

"We made pancakes, Mia and I will get ready, we are going to the shops to get everything for thanksgiving lunch if you wanted to come" Nick asked Mia siblings.

All the kids wanted to come to the store, so Nick, Mia, Andrea, Luis got the kids into separate cars so; 1. They could fit all the kids in. And 2. They could fit all the shopping in the car.

Arriving at the centre Luis and Andrea drove into one of the pram bays, while Nick and Mia Drove into the bay next to them that wasn't a pram or disabled bay.

The men grabbed a trolly while the women helped the kids ready to go into the store. Walking to into the food store, the kids held onto the edges of the shopping cart.

"Ok it will be busy so lets stick together" Mia tells the kids as they hold on to the two trolly's, walking in it isn't as busy as she thought it would be.

They managed to around the shop getting everything they needed having no trouble, although the kids desperately wanted a treat, and since they have been so good their parents allowed them to get a treat, but they had to get a treat for everyone else.

They ended up getting a few extra popcorns and candies, as when they were in the candy isle that told us we would have a movie night.

Nick and Luis sat with the kids at the end of the register while Andrea and Mia placed all their food up on the register conveyor belt.

"Hi how are ya doing?" Middle age women at the register asked.

"Good, thank you" Mia replied with her Australia accent coming out.

"Are you here on holidays?" The middle-aged women asked.

"I'm not, I live here with my partner, but my siblings are" Mia replied with a smile.

"Are you enjoying it here?" She asked Andrea.

"Yes, it's the kids time first seeing snow, it's an experience I will never forget seeing their faces outside in the snow." Andrea replied.

"You don't get snow in Australia?" She asked as the women scanned the items.

"Not where we live in Australia, this weather is cold compared to Perth's weather" Andrea explained. Mia nodded.

"Very true, When I first moved here for college I was wearing layers while others were wearing jeans, long sleeve shirt and a light jacket" Mia explained.

"Well, I've never been to Australia so I don't know what is like that, but I assume its much warmer than this?" The cashier asked. Andrea and Mia nodded their head, chuckling.

Once the cashier finished their transaction, the two families headed back to their cars so they could head back home.

Andrea and Mia packed everything in the park while Nick and Luis buckled the kids in their seats. When the kids were in their seats, the bags are in the back and the shopping cars are back in an appropriate place; near the doors of the shopping centre.

When they arrived home Andrea and Mia helped the kids out letting them watch TV, while they help Nick and Luis brought in the shopping.

While Luis, Nick, Jame, Leah sat with the kids Brenna helped Andrea and Mia put everything away, before they prepared thanksgiving lunch.

After an hour and a half of the ladies preparing, Leah and Val told them to have a rest, Mia went up to have a nap while Andrea and Brenna sat with their kids. Nick joined Mia for a nap, while Brenna looked after Ellie for them.

Slipping into bed with her, he wrapped his arms around her. "Tired from then shopping?" Nick asked Mia. She nodded turning around to face him. "I think this pregnancy will be a lot harder than I thought." Mia explained,

"I'm here for you and I sure it will be just for the first couple weeks, plus we have an appointment on Monday, then we head to Canada for your interview" Nick started Mia huffed, as he continued.

"Then we are going back with mum for Christmas" Nick tells Mia. She sighed, snuggled into Nick as they had an undisturbed afternoon nap.

Later that evening everyone they all settled after having an intense discussion on what to watch they watched frozen 2 again, the kids laid in their beds while the adults sat on the couch huddled on the couch with their partners.

The kids sung along to the music; they filmed their kids singing, as the movie came to the end the kids were sound asleep. Leaving the kids, they all went to their rooms, resting up for a busy thanksgiving day.

Thanksgiving day, the kids sat in front of the TV watching a thanksgiving day, a movie. Everyone helped Val make lunch, the kids joined in once their movie was over, helping them finish lunch.

When Lunch is ready Andrea, Brenna, Mia helped their kids with their lunch before they ate their own. They filled lunch with chatter and explaining to the Aussies what thanksgiving is. Mia had lived in the united states for years, but never gotten into it until Emily invited her to a family lunch when her flight to Australia got canceled because of heavy snow.

When they all finished Emily along with her parents, Val cleaned up while everyone went out and played in the snow.
