"why is a slave so dressed up" galra prince keith asked as he danced with pidge a human slave he seen in the gardens. 

"i was ordered to attend and was given this dress" she replied not looking at him.

"you gave you such an order, you could be killed for attending" he asked with a little worry.

He never spoken to the girl but he watched her sit in the gardens many time. He would watch her play with his wolf when she thought no one was around. He watched how she loved and smiled with a guard named shiro. He cared for the girl and found her beautiful but knew a galra and a human could never be. But that didnt stop him from loving her and he wanted to protect her. 

"i know i will killed it was easy to tell that they were sending me to my death" she said with a sadden smile.

"then why not run away" he asked, he wouldn't want to watch her die.

"you know i couldn't do such a thing" she frowned.

"i know but i dont wish to see you die" He said with a worried smile and loving eyes, his words making her turn to him in shock.

"then close your eyes" she smiled sweetly.

"I'm not a child, i cant just close my eyes and pretend that your ok and just went on a trip" he sighed and she giggled.

"well I'm glad i had someone caring for me before i take my last breath .. thank you prince keith" she smiled softly making him blush.

"please just tell me who gave you such an order" he begged and she rested her head on his chest as they danced.

"its going to be ok, i promise keith" she whisper.

"and are you truly going to keep such a promise" he asked and felt her tense a little.

"then i promise to love you" she smiled gently and looked to him, letting her hazel eyes meet his purple ones.

"and how would that keep you alive" he asked with a small smile.

"because if i love you then i return to keep loving you .. so please wait for me" She smiled gently.

"i wait until my last breath" He smiled softly before pulling her into a loving sweet kiss.

"i love you Katie" he smiled warmly, his eyes sparkling as she blushed by him using her given name. 

"i love you too keith" she smiled warmly back and pulled him into another kiss before letting go of his hand and walking away. 

YEARS LATER.

The castle was under attack by the Alteans who hated the galra planet. Altea and galra planets never got alone and the altean queen finally started a war once her father passed away. 

War broke out and many lost their lives but neither side was giving up. Each had families and loves ones to protect. They all fought for their home and to keep it standing when the war was over. But the Altea queen allura played a dirty trick. 

She sent assassins to kill the new king keith why the soldiers fought. But was the queen didnt know was unlike her, the king fought on the battle grounds with him men. He was going to risk his life protecting him home so that one day his love one could return to him. 

He kept fighting and killing as many as he needed to save his home and people. The war wasn't over but it was silent. Both sides getting their injured out to safety and others rested before another battle breaks out. Neither side said a word but just respected the other so everyone could rest for a day. 

King keith returned to the castle to check on other soldiers and see if their were any news about other battles ending. He walked down the halls in his red armour, his purple sword hitting his armour as he hip waved with each step. His childhood friend lance walked by his side, since even keith knew a king should never walk around alone. He trusted lance and that all he need to have lance walk with him. 

He was tied and needed rest but wanted to check the garden before he headed to his room. Big mistake the Assassins were waiting and attacked, he fought back with everything he had but his body was heavy and he needed sleep. He closed his eyes begging forgiveness to the girl he loved for not being here when she returned. 

He opened his eye as he noticed he wasn't dead. He turned to lance who stood in shock at two hoddied figures defending the assassins off alone and killing them. Keith air was taken from him as the shorter one turned to show the face of a girl he loved. She smiled at him and took a step closer to him. 

"do you trust me" she asked with a soft smile and held her hand out to him.

"you returned" he smiled brightly and took her hand pulling her into his chest.

"i told you i would as long as i loved you" she smiled sweetly.

"i missed you" he smiled and placed a sweet loving kiss on her soft lips.

"we need to go" Shiro spoke as he pulled down his hood shocking lance. Everyone thought the great soldier shiro died and yet he stood like a thief.

"your not dead" Lance asked and shiro chuckled.

"thanks to my friend here" Shiro smiled and  pidge giggled. 

"why didnt your two return before" Lance asked with worry.

"we were making a home, a home for everyone to belong too but we couldn't leave since they needed us to protect the planet" He smiled.

"we sneak out after i heard allura orders to the assassins, i couldn't let you die before i made you mine" Pidge smirked and wink at keith who smiled at her.

"but we must go now or we be noticed as missing" Shiro said with a small smile. 

"so keith my love, do you trust me" Pidge asked again with a smirk.

"i trust you as long as i love you" He smiled and let the girl he loved lead her to the ship and he started his new life with her.
