Fire makes me stronger.

I screamed as I felt the fire surrounding me, the team fighting, not able to get to me. I felt my skin bubbling, I was terrified. But I walked out, body engulfed in the fire, catching the attention of the other paladins. "GET TO THE LIONS—," I screamed before being shot back into the fire, hitting the wall of the ship it came from.

They didn't listen though, so I closed my eyes, connecting to red, "listen to me, and do as I say. Leave. Tell the others to get their paladins and not to let them take control, go straight to the castle." 'No! I won't—' "Go" I growled, and she listened, muttering things to herself as she went, the others following right behind her.

"Guys green isn't letting me take control!" Pidge called

"Me either!" Hunk gasped.

"Blues talking but won't let me take control!" Lance called, "she told me to tell you guys that Keith gave them instructions to leave..."

"What? Why!" After a long silence Shiro spoke again, "Keith!? Keith do you copy!?"

"B-because." I hissed, before screaming in pain, cutting off my mic again.

"What's going on?" Allura. "Why are you guys retreating?"

"I don't know! The lions won't let us take control." Pidge said, clearly still trying.

I turned my mic back on, "give up." I growled, emerging from the fire once more, whipping out all the Galra on the planet, with lava "the lions are going back to the castle. quit trying to take over." I heard Shiro growl before he spoke up.

"No! Your still back there!"

"GIVE UP!" I screamed, hearing the click from all their lions. "You won't take control" I growled, before using my power to my advantage, flying through space, following right behind the lions. "They are stronger than you think." The lions landed in the castle, all except red, who's mouth I flew into, extinguishing myself. I walked out of my lion and smiled at the other paladins, "bet your surprised?" I pointed behind me, "and pissed?" I turned around and smiled at Shiro, before it turned into a glare, "go over there." I hissed, and he followed orders.

"What's going on Keith?" I raised a brow, "how did you get all the lions to listen to you?" Lance walked a little closer, obviously intrigued.

"How about we get him in a pod first—," Shiro spoke, but I cut him off.

"I don't know what you mean? You guys were controlling them, I was just giving you guys orders?"

"What? Your fücking with us right?" Pidge spoke up.

"Did you guys get hit or something? We had an entire conversation!"

"I think we should get you into a pod..." I raised my brow at hunk.

"But I have no injuries?" They gave me a look. "You can put me in a pod if you want to... but it's gunna do no good because I have no injuries?"

"It'll make us feel better..." i nodded, walking with them to the room. And they put me in a pod. And I came out seconds later, no injuries. "How..." Shiro whispered, exchanging looks with the team.

"I think you guys should be getting in the pods, one for your... lack of memory, and two your in really bad shape." They all looked at themselves before looking at me.

"How are you not hurt? At all?"

"Because, you wouldn't let me get out of red. So I fought from her?" I said, giving Shiro a look of confusion. "Really you guys need to get in the pod."

And everyone did, making me heave a sigh, turning to look at Allura and Coran. "The Galra on the planet have been whipped, let's land there." I then snapped my fingers, Lance emerging from his pod, no injuries. "Me and Lance will search the area, coran you keep an eye on them, Allura you stay near the controls, if anything happens report back to me understood?" They both nodded before going to where I told them.

I turned to lance, who looked extremely confused. "I'll explain everything to you okay? Let's just get to the planet first." He nodded and we headed for red, leaving the castle and going full speed there. I lead lance from the lion, and he looked around, seeing ashes everywhere.

"What the hell happened?" I smiled.

"I happened." He gave me a look of confusion. I lead him to the big fire that was still going, smiling at it. "Fire makes me stronger." He gave me a weird look, stepping back as I stepped closer to the fire.

"Keith what are you doing?" I looked over at him, before stepping into the fire, taking in a breath as I walked in it. "Keith!" I felt him grab my arm and yank me out forcing me to look at him, "what the fück are you doing!?" I smiled.

"Water makes you stronger." I said, before twirling my finger, water surrounding us. "But Fire makes me stronger." His eyes widened.

"How do you know that!?"

"I.. i remembered you... I was just afraid what you would think of me after all this time.." tears filled his eyes, "I remember you being so excited to show me what you could do creating a bubble around my head so I could breath underwater with you... I learned to do it without the bubble... because I wanted to be like you... and I was so excited to show you." I felt a tear fall down my face, the water around us flipping to flames, "the fire happened. And I was trapped in the middle of the house, stuck under rubble... but the fire spoke to me, didn't want me to die at such a young age... how long has it been?"

"65 years..." lance whispered, "65 long years thinking you were dead..." I sniffed, sending him a sad smile, "but were together again... finally..." his side turned to water, mine still fire.

"Yeah... finally..." I whispered, before placing a soft kiss to his lips, smiling, "I missed this.."

"Me too.." he said, before pulling me into a hug, both sides falling. "How long did it take you to learn?" He asked, pulling back.

"I went to your mother ocean... and she taught me quickly... so less than 1 day..." he smiled.

"Then... I can learn your power to?" I smiled, before we both walked into the fire, but Lances skin didn't start to bubble, and neither did mine.

"Water makes you stronger." I whispered, pressing our foreheads together.

"Fire makes you stronger." He whispered, nuzzling our noses.

"But were strongest together." We whispered, kissing a soft kiss.

I sighed, before extinguishing the fire around us, me and lance looking around for resources.

Three days later the others got out of the pod, not questioning anything that happened, just that we killed them all. Which we did. And then if me and lance were dating, sense he had his arms wrapped around my waist, head resting on my shoulder.

It was Shiro who had asked, and lance, being the smartass he is grabbed my chin, kissed me, before saying, "nah just how two bros hang out." Causing me to laugh, shaking my head at him.

"How I love someone like you I may never know, all I know is that I do, and that I always will." He smiled, pulling me closer to him.

"I love you too~"
