"Seriously I don't know what kind of a deal we are having here Tay. Nam just left so how am I getting my girl again??"

"Oh! You really are so naive New. It all starts with jealousy. Make her jealous, the more you cling to me now the more jealous she is gonna get."

"Why in the world will she get jealous when she doesn't want me at all. She has Joss. Aren't you forgetting that little bit of detail."

"But she always had you too. You were always her backup for everything. She has to know how it feels not having you around."

"So? Now?"

"Ignore her just as you are doing and we can do boyfriendy stuff in front of her, if she turns up here."

"Though I have no idea whether this will work or not but since I have tried almost everything else, I wanna give this a try too. But next time if there ever is a need to do boyfriendy stuff just make sure that your tongue stays inside your own mouth."

"But then it's not very convincing, is it? She has to be totally convinced. Moreover, it's not like my tongue alone went out on a mouth hunt, it had company😁"

New's whole face turned red. The guy seriously was so easy to tease. In fact, I was raking up my brain for the last 10 minutes with the same question.

Was it really necessary to kiss like that and even after she was gone. And what the heck was I doing kissing him in the first place? Was I really helping him? I had to be careful.........I didn't have it in me to go through this.......again.

Suddenly, the door swung open and Gavin's face appeared.

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah of course." New said arranging his disheveled hair quickly with his hands.

Gavin looked from New to me and fixed his gaze on me. His eyes turned into slits as he gave me that questioning look.

"What's going on here? Am I interrupting anything?"

"No no.....of course not." I stuttered slightly and Gavin smirked. The idiot knew!!

"I....I...have a few patients left before I wrap up for the day....so guys if you don't mind can you please leave my office right now." New looked everywhere but me.

I stood up and before I was about to leave I said, "Remember Dr.New we had a deal, you can't back out now."

"What was all that about Tay? What's going on?" Gavin said after we reached my office.

"Nothing much Gav, I asked him to help me a bit."

"What help?" Gav said sitting down on my couch, wincing a little.

"A bit of snooping around......are you alright?"

"Yeah...I am fine. How do you know he is not involved?"

"He is not."

"But..."

"No buts Gav, please I know....he is not involved. Trust me on this."

"Tay you better be careful. Last time I had a hell of time bringing you out of your hell hole."

"Gav please....not now."

He pursed his lips and though I knew he wanted to say a lot more but he kept quiet. He looked slightly pale and he sat up with his hands embracing his tummy.

"Gav.....you okay? You look really pale."

"Nah! It's nothing.....just the food in this horrible canteen."
