New Thitipoom

What happened to the guy? He suddenly looked like he had seen a ghost. I might have received many kinds of reactions after people saw me, the most common being "you are such a cute baby faced doctor."🙄 This coming mainly from my aged motherly patients and almost always accompanied by a pat on my cheek.(so embarrassing 😏)
But this was a first and that too from a guy🤨Maybe he was expecting some elderly doctor or simply thought I was ugly. Anyways who the hell cares what he thinks?

"Mr.Ratanawadi? If you are done staring, can we actually see the files and finish the work you actually came for."

His whole face turned red with embarrassment....good...so he was human. "No....it's actually.....you just look very similar to someone I know." He stuttered a bit.

Clearly he was lying. He was twisting his hands nervously and there was a restlessness I could see by the way he was constantly shaking his legs.

I took the files from him and checked all the reports, most of which I already knew, since I had already studied his dad's case thoroughly when Dr.Ratchanon had given me the files.

"Look as of now there is really nothing to worry about. These reports are better than the ones we had right after the attack. But make sure that he keeps maintaining the same schedule which Dr.Ratchanon had suggested. Light food, light walks, proper rest and most importantly no anxiety. Make sure he doesn't get too lazy and starts putting on excess weight. The same medicines will continue just instead of 4times a day make it 3times a day now. Am I clear??"

"Yes it's clear but in case there is an emergency or any query, who do I get in touch with?"

"If it's just a query or to take an appointment call Ms.Jasmine,  Dr.Ratchanon's assistant. If and only if there is an emergency you can call on my direct number which is given on the prescription here." I pointed out the part on the paper bearing my details.

He nodded and without as much as a thanks, he got up and simply left. Rich brats!!! No manners at all. 😏

Just as I was leaving the clinic Mae called on my cell.
"Did you have dinner?" She asked as soon as I picked up.

"Mae I am just leaving uncle's clinic ( here I should mention that I have known Dr.Ratchanon almost all my life. He is like a father to me and has helped me a great deal to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor, outside work I call him uncle)

"Take care of yourself son. Between your hospital shifts and now the clinic you have to eat and sleep too."

"I will Mae, don't worry so much."

"Why did you have to take a job so far away from home?" She sighed

"Mae I need to go now, I have a 4 A M shift at the hospital tomorrow."

"Take care baby."

"I will"

I hung up and walked towards my bike. It was cloudy and the last thing I wanted now was getting wet.

Tay Tawan

Dr.Thitipoom was quite professional, I had to give him that but he definitely lacked humility. The guy is too full of himself. 😏

As I was parking my car in garage, I saw a head bobbing up and down near the garden bushes. I smiled....these kids were too naughty.

"I can see you Chimon, you can come out now."

Chimon was Pluem's best friend. Those two had been friends since their diaper days and have been quite inseparable ever since.
