"What are you doing hovering over him like that Tay? Give the guy some space!"
Lee's voice interrupted the intense moment.

Can't a guy confess without some interruption? First those two Podd-Gavin and now the whole gang🙄🙄

Honestly, I had completely forgotten that we were in Lee's house and the whole group was following us.😒

Of course I forgot, that was New effect 🙁

"P'New are you alright?" Plu said looking anxiously at New.

"Hmmm.....am fine." New's voice sounded strained. He was about to say something before the whole gang had barged in.

"You don't look okay New. Let me check that ankle of yours once and you definitely need to shower......" Podd said sternly and pointing at my dirty shirt he continued,"You too Tay....that was quite a knight in shining armour move....picking him up like that." He chuckled and I heard a few more snickers behind me.

They definitely won't let me forget this anytime soon.🙄

"Yeah completely bridal style." Lee laughed.

"P'Tay did you grow some extra muscles?" Even Mon who had never dared to tease me before, said laughing out loud.

He had one arm casually wrapped around my brother. Those two actually looked good together but of course one party always is dumb in love.😓

I looked at New now. His whole face had turned red by all their teasing. He looked at me as if wanting to say something but then with everyone around it was impossible to talk. I never really got my answer. Earlier I was so sure that he must feel something for me but now I wasn't so confident.

"Guys get out from here now. Let me just check his leg and Tay go take a shower please....." Podd said almost closing the door on our faces.

"Why do you need to close the door?"

I was about to ask the same question, when Gav beat me to it. Podd glared at Gav.

"Because he needs to get out of his dirty clothes and I don't want an audience when my patient is undressing."

"But.....what about you?" Gav asked.

"What about me?" Podd's one eyebrow shot up.

"No...I mean....you....are an audience too..." Gav stuttered a bit.

"I am a doctor."

"But...."

Gav was about to say more when Lee pulled his arm.

"Let's get out of here guys. I have arranged a campfire outside let's sit there....and Tay you really stink.....go take a shower first."

I trudged towards the bathroom, my mind a bit restless.

I kept replaying the earlier moments in my head. Newwie never really said no to me but he didn't say yes either....😔

Moreover, I needed to know what was on his mind. Whatever he wanted to say seemed important.....I decided to ask him at night when we were alone in our room.......I hope he still wanted to share a room with me after my confession😒.

Maybe I should have waited.....maybe it hadn't been the right time......ah! No use crying over spilt milk🤦🏻‍♂️

By the time I was walking towards the campsite, I noticed that New and Podd were already seated on chairs next to the bonfire.
