"What is it New?"

"I don't think Poh committed suicide Tay."

"What?"

I showed him the message and I could feel his arms tighten around my waist.

"I need to find out what's going on."

"If there is really something wrong then, I don't want you to do anything on your own New. Whoever sent this might only be playing a prank but if not then it might be dangerous."

"I don't think it's a prank. I.....I......."

Unexpectedly he leaned in and kissed my lips.

"I don't want you to put yourself in any kind of danger. From now on nothing is about just you.....it's all about us. We are a team now. You are my boyfriend.... remember New?"

"But...."

He placed another kiss on my lips and I almost forgot what I was even talking about.

"Shhh.....no buts. From now on I will be your partner....in everything.......now c'mon let's go. Gavin and Lee are waiting for me."

"Lee is here??"

"Hmm........he is with Frank right now."

"Will he take Frank back to Chiang Rai?"

"Yes. He is here for only a day. Frank will get discharged tomorrow."

"Have you two spoken?"

"Of course....I just met him when I went to check on Frank. Most of the nurses on third floor are giving special attention to Frank today.... I bet Lee is having a good time." He chuckled.

Ahhh! Tay coud be really dumb at times🙄 I rolled my eyes. If only he understood, whose attention Lee really wanted. Ever since our trip I had felt that Lee's feelings towards Tay ran deeper than 'just friends'.

I wasn't proud of the fact that I felt glad that Lee wouldn't stay around much. That guy always had a way to unnerve me......

We finally took the elevator to go down to the third floor where both Frank and Podd were being treated. Third floor was for VIP patients. The rooms were no less than any five star hotel suite. It was very rare for a junior doctor like me to tread on this floor. So, I felt a bit out of place.

"I think I will check on Podd first."

I mumbled. I had been feeling really guilty about Podd's condition. Had I not sent him to my apartment, he wouldn't have been here.

"Wait! New!" Tay grabbed my arm.

"Mon and Plu are in his room right now. Podd's father is here too. So you better go after the visiting hours."

"Oh....okay."

So we walked towards Frank's room. I wasn't very eager to meet that Lee. Somehow I found even his presence annoying. Not that he was bad or anything but him moving around Tay with that ∆ogue magazine face of his, made me feel somewhat insecure.
