"Answer me Plu!!!! How long is a 'while'?" I don't know why I felt that sudden surge of anger.

"P'New right now it's not important how long I know, but that my brother can't know......"

"But Plu...."

"Please P'New... I believe it's for my parents to disclose. There must be some reason why they haven't said anything to him yet......they are not irrational people.....trust me. There must have been some understanding between them and P'Tay's real mom. I don't really know but all I know is.....we can't tell P'Tay. To be honest I don't want him to know this....ever."

"But you have to tell me...how do you know? How long have you known?"

"A few years."

"A few years???" I repeated not sure whether I was hearing that right.

"When?" I whispered as my knees felt wobbly and I had to lean on the wall for support.

"The day my brother was sent to boarding school."

"But you must have been very small then..." I was beyond shocked now.

"Hmm......I was....six."

"Six!!! How......?"

"Poh was totally against sending him to that school. But P'Tay wanted to go because his best buddy P'Earth was going. I remember crying the whole night feeling upset that P'Tay wanted to leave me and go with his friend........"

"But then your parents agreed....right?"

"No they didn't. At least not at first......"

"What do you mean?"

"I remember feeling sick and staying in bed that day. P'Tay had gone out with P'Earth somewhere still very angry with Poh for not agreeing to send him to the boarding...but then...."

"But then.. what?"

He remained quiet and I wanted to shake him hard. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Pluem always seemed so naive and helpless but this was a different boy altogether. I hardly knew this side of him.

"Tell me Plu!!! Please!"

"He came to meet P'Tay....."

"Who???"

"Frank's grandfather."

"What?????" I slumped on the floor in shock.

Plu rushed towards me and grabbed my arm.

"Are you alright P'New?" He looked at me his voice edged with concern. This was the Plu I recognised. I felt a bit calm seeing the boy I actually knew.

"Hmm...am okay. Can you just sit with me for a while here and tell me everything?"

"P'New.......I don't know what is between you and P'Tay. I know he likes you but I don't know how you feel about him. Tell me why should I trust you with anything?"

I didn't quite know what to say. Honestly, I was at the most confused point in my life. Tay and me......it was a bit complicated...

"To be honest, I don't really know how I feel about him....in that sense....we are close but....."
