The day went on normally: Meliodas being over protective in first period and his eyes never leaving me, I made a new friend in second and third period (Jericho and Guila), and having fun with Diane in fourth.

But then it came time for lunch, which I was not expecting at all. Diane and I walked arm in arm to lunch, chatting happily when she came to an abrupt stop, forcing me to halt as well. I looked to where she was looking and my eyes widened.

There, sitting at our table, was Meliodas. His body was kind of scrunched up and you could tell he was uncomfortable. Ban was doing his absolute best to make him laugh, but Meliodas looked... out of place.

Elaine sat next to Ban and King sat next to Elaine, meaning there was an open spot next to Meliodas and another spot next to King for Diane. I tugged Diane over to our table and took my seat next to Meliodas.

Immediately, his posture straightened and he took my hand. Don't get me wrong, he still looked menacing as hell, but I read his heart. He needed a little bit of reassurance. I squeezed his hand back and he looked a little startled, but smirked anyways.

My mark was burning, but it didn't hurt, it felt... comfortable.

"So... what exactly is going on here?" Diane asked, sitting down next to King and greeting him with a kiss on his cheek.

"I decided to invite Cap'n to sit with us, our talk this morning went smoothly so why not," Ban explained.

"Cap'n?" I repeated. He nodded.

"Well, I wanted to give him a nick name and first prince didn't sound right, so I settled on Cap'n." I nodded my head.

"Captain... I like it!" Diane cheered. I decided not to address him by that name because that would just be weird.

"What about Mel?" I suggested. Elaine choked on her water and Diane started squealing. "What?" I asked cluelessly.

"Your like a couple! Giving each other pet names!" she exclaimed, Elaine coughing while Ban patted her back gently. My face reddened. I didn't know it was that big of a deal.

"Mel, huh?" Meliodas tried, smirking at me. "I like it," he decided, nuzzling his head into my shoulder. King shook his head in disbelief.

"You guys haven't even known each other for that long, how is it that you are already so close?" King asked. Meliodas thought for a moment before responding.

"I can't place my finger on it but I feel like I know you from somewhere..." he trailed off. He was right. There was this gaping hole in my memories, something I was missing. Something important.

"W-We should start eating," I stammered, beginning to eat my lunch as my friends did the same. The rest of lunch went on pretty smoothly. About half way through, Meliodas decided to tease me a little bit.

"Feed me," he commanded. I stiffened and whipped my head towards him.

"W-What?"

"Please?" he begged. He was toying with me. I tried to calm my blushing face as I picked up a little bit of his food. He opened his mouth and I fed him the food. Then he decided to make me even more flustered by kissing my finger.

My face flushed an even darker shade than before and I covered it. Meliodas grabbed my hands, gently moving them from my face. Without warning, he pecked my lips. Diane and Elaine screamed, Ban was video taping, and King was trying to calm down his girlfriend and sister.

"I hate you..." I muttered, my head drooping and my face flaring.

"No you don't," Meliodas mused.

"I know, I can't stay mad at you, it's annoying," I groaned, burying my head in his chest. There was a part of me that did feel like I knew him. Not only just from the Holy War, but something deeper. Almost as if the memory was stripped away from me unwillingly.

I needed it back, we both did, I needed to know what kind of connection we had. It hurt my head to try to remember it, but it also hurt my heart by the fact that I couldn't.

Eventually the bell rang and we all headed off to class. It hurt like hell knowing that a piece of my heart was missing, a piece that probably belonged to Meliodas. No wonder I took a liking to him so fast.

A fragment of a memory that was stuck in the back of my mind, trying to claw its way back to the front. I stopped in the hall, trying my hardest to remember. Then it happened, a small portion of the memory emerging.

Flashback~

I sat in some kind of floating theatre, raising a flower up from a crack in the ground. I was young, just barely a teen, meaning that I was a few hundred years old.

I picked the flower and started stringing it along with another, making a flower crown.

"What are you doing?" a voice sounded from behind me. I turned around, but all I caught was a glimpse of blonde hair and a demon mark before I was thrown back into reality.

End of Flashback~

My eyes opened without me even realizing I had closed them in the first place. The pain in my head had become unbearable and a shrill cry of pain ripped from my throat.

My vision dipped and swayed. I felt many eyes on me in the hall way, but that feeling wouldn't last as I fell backwards, my sight being consumed by darkness.
