Part 34: Mine

Brady's pov

".....it's a werewolf"

"Wait.....w-what? They d-dont exist" Mike squeaked. "Oh yeah neither do vampires but yet here we are" Jack snapped.

"YOU HAVE ENTERED MY TERRITORY HUMANS" The werewolf spoke. "It...it speaks..but...." Skyler managed to say before she passed out. Jack immediately caught her.

"Skyler wake up...no no no" Jack panicked. Just then another growl broke loose. "HOW DARE U FILTHY PEASANTS IGNORE ME" Wow okay he's mad.

"Dude chill for a sec..he's emotionally involved okay" Mike said. I bumped his shoulder. "Sorry my friend he's and bit cra-" He cut me off.

"SILENCE!!!" He growled out. "I'M THE ALPHA OF THE RED FOREST PACK AND I WILL NOT BE DISRESPECTED BY SOME JUNK" He spat.

"We're not disrespecting-" I was cut off again. "Orion??" A female voice called. There from the woods a beautiful female who looked like she was in her twenties came out and gasped.

"Orion why are you scaring these travellers" She asked. "Honey just let me finish" Honey? This beautiful lady is involved with a beast??

"Change back right this instant Orion" she said sternly. "But.." He whined. "Now!!!" She hissed. He sighed and almost like I was dreaming he was back to a man.

He was tall , well-built and he had pale skin. "I apologise for my husbands behaviour" The woman finally turned to us after giving her naked husband some shorts.

"Uhmm...no problem we'll just be on our way" Jack said. "Oh nonsense..you lot must be starving you should come to our pack house and get something to eat" she insisted.

I was about to protest but she silenced me.
"That girl has been through a lot I can see she needs to rest and so do the rest of you...you guys look horrible" she said.

She was probably referring to our bruises and stuff.

Jacks pov

"She's right we can't travel when Skyler is like this. Yes it's a risk to waste time but it's needed." I said.

"Okay let's go" The lady said. "Oh and my name is Gabrielle this is my husband Orion" She said and we nodded.

I carried Skyler to this huge house which I'm assuming is the pack house and put her in the room she was given.

She looked so exhausted even in her sleep. I should get some rest too.

Skylers pov

Find the chest. In the realm of discoveries. Release me......

I woke up breathing heavily. "Hey hey what's wrong" a concerned Jack asked me. "Uhmm...nothing just a nightmare" I managed to say.

He nodded in understanding then he grinned evilly. "What" I asked him confused as to why he was looking at me like that. "Did you know that you cuddle and kiss in your sleep" Jack said containing his laughter.

I gasped and he burst out. "Seriously I....did I kiss you in my sleep" I asked ashamed. Jack grinned and nodded. "I was sleeping then all of a sudden you kiss me on my eyeball" Jack said between fits of laughter.

My whole face turned hot and I glared at him. "Whatever....wait- where are we?" I asked after looking around.

"Turns out the werewolf had an awesome wife who let us rest here for a while" Jack said. "HOW long is a while , Jack this is-"

"....risky I know but we haven't eaten or rested and we need it for the journey besides by the time they enter the forest there will be like a million of those tree things it will buy us time" He assured me. I nodded.

"Let's go eat" Jack said standing up.

Mikes pov

"Finally love birds" I teased. "Yeah yeah whatever" Skyler said entering the kitchen. "Oh I see your lady friend has woke up" Gabrielle said smiling at Skyler.

"Thank you so much for letting us rest here " Skyler said "You're most welcome and I understand that King Daniel is on his way and you can't let him pass this forest before you so I asked some of the pack warriors to keep them busy" She said

"You'll have roughly 2 hours before you need to go" She finished. "Oh my goodness thank you so much" Skyler said smiling. Gabrielle smiled back.

"My son would love to meet you he's always talking about Krystel" she said. "We once had a life in Krystel till your mother chased us away so we built our house here but Krystel will forever be our home" she smiled but I could see the sadness

Skylers pov

"Don't worry I promise when this quest is done your pack and yourselves will be welcomed to Krystel" I said determined.

"Oh that's kind of you but your mother will still be the Queen my dear" She said. "I wouldn't be so sure about that" I said.

Something told me that the throne my mom is sitting on isn't hers. Just as Gabrielle was about to say something a low growl broke loose.

Before anyone could register anything someone hugged me and whispered the word 'mine'
