THURSDAY : PARADE DAY
Excited about today, we both got up and showered before doing our hygiene. Today was the day of the parade. It was also the day of my meet and greet which is at the parade and I couldn't have been more happier about the outcome of these two events.
"You ready?" I asked as I made sure I wasn't leaving anything behind.
"Yeah let me get something real quick" he ran into the bathroom quickly and then came back out.
"Alright let's go" he grabbed his phone and I walked out of the room with him trailing behind.
"Bye dad love you" I replied walking out the door. I know I tell him every time because have to tell him. I'll never know when I'll loose him or he'll loose me.
"Love you too and y'all have a great day" he said as we closed the door.
"You too" We both replied loud enough for him to hear. We decided to take my car for breakfast because my dad actually didn't cook this morning. Deciding on McDonald's I put my seatbelt on and pulled out of the drive way. Soon arriving there we waited behind 2 cars because it was packed inside.
"Welcome to McDonald's, how may I help you?" The woman asked.
"Yes hold on just a sec" I replied.
"What you want Bubba?" I turned my attention towards him.
"Umm a McMuffin and a caramel macchiato" he said as his eyes skimmed over the menu.
"Okay" I turned my attention to the speaker.
"Yes umm- can I get two McMuffins and two Caramel Macchiato?" I asked.
"Yess will that be all?" She asked.
"Yes" I replied.
"Okay it'll be $10.03 at the first window" she said. Handing me his card I took mines out also. Pulling up the the window I let the window down and held both cards on their back side.
"Just pick a card, any card" I said as she started laughing. We had the same card so you won't know who's card she chose until we look at the names.
"Uhhh I'll choose this one" she chose the right one. Pulling the left over card back in we looked at the name.
"Man she chose my card" Tj said as we both started laughing. This is the way we choose who pay.
"Here you go" she handed the card and it's receipt back to me. Handing Tj his card he gave me the stank face and he looked at me sideways.
"I wanna think you told her to do that" he squinted his eyes at me as I started laughing.
"I swear I didn't bubba, she did that" I laughed. I waited for the car to go so I could pull up to the window but dang are they ever? We got school.
Once finally getting our food we headed to school. The ride there mostly consisted of rapping to music.
"Just Remember, go in here and focus on your work" Tj said as he shook his head.
"I gotcha" I parked the car and took the key out of the ignition. We gathered our stuff and walked in. Putting our things in the locker we headed to class. First face I see when walking in is Ren. I just sat down in my seat and ate my food because I don't care nor have the time for any unnecessary energy.
THE PARADE
Tj and I walked out onto the red and white decorated float, it was our team colors. The float was very big, so I wouldn't be surprised if it held all of us although It was a lot of us I think we can fit. He sat down as I took a seat close beside him. Everyone then piled onto the float and of course Serenity was by Jessica and Stephanie. The kept looking at us and I don't know what's her problem but she needs to cut it out. We're at the point in life where we grow up.
