*Camila*

My knees give in and I fall to the ground. Hanging my head with my eyes closed, I try to take deep breaths to calm my breathing rate. Dinah squats down beside me and without saying a word, she softly and comfortingly rubs my lower back with the palm of her hand. We sit there for what seems like hours. In my head, I'm replaying the whole thing. I can't believe she's gone. I can't believe I ran after her like a maniac! I don't even know her that well and look at me chasing after her like a headless chicken. This isn't me. What the hell is going on?

*Snap out of it, Camila. She's gone. It was just a once off thing. Time to move on with your life*

I slowly get up off the ground and Dinah helps me up.

C: "I just want to use the bathroom and then we can leave, alright? I'm sorry Dinah.."

D: "Okay. Don't even apologize, babe. I'll wait here for you."

Making my way to the bathroom, I feel somewhat relieved. It feels like a weight was suddenly lifted off my shoulders. I knew what I needed to do; I needed to just let go. I take a deep breath and sigh a sigh of relief. The sign above me directs me down the passage and towards to the bathroom. Just before I reach the bathroom door something makes me stop dead in my tracks. I hear someone calling my name..

"Camila!! Wait!!.."

My heart immediately stops and my breath catches in the back of my throat. I spin around quickly and in the distance I spot her, it's Lauren!

She's running towards me, her bag in her hand and the most beautiful smile spread across her face. This cannot be real. It just can't be! I slowly start walking towards her and then my legs begin to move on it's own.. they start moving a little faster and before I know it, they're running and carrying me as fast as possible towards the girl I thought I'd lost forever.

Just when we're a few meters away from each other, Lauren drops her bag and catches me in her arms. The impact of our bodies colliding into each other with such force half knocks the wind out of me, and all at the same time, Lauren lifts me up and spins me around.

I squeeze my eyes shut and hold onto her as tight as I can.

C: "You're here!! You're not gone?? But.. but the plane departed??" I slowly unwrap my arms from around her neck and she puts me down in front of her.

L: "Yes babe, it departed but I'm not on it am I?" she smiles at me reassuringly. She lifts her hand to caress my face and I lift mine to meet hers there. Her hand is warm underneath mine, and sweet smelling- like cool mint. I needed to feel the warmness of her hand because it reminds me that she's real. Lord knows I desperately need a reality check right now.

"The air hostesses were checking seatbelts and something inside me told me to get off the plane. I had to listen to my instincts, Camila. I had to get off the plane. So I told them to let me off because there was some sort of emergency that required me to stay here in New York for a couple more days. I just made it babe! They almost didn't let me off!"

I jumped into her arms again. I couldn't help it. I couldn't understand how fate was actually on our side. Just when I was about to let go and move on, she comes right back and brings back with her all these feelings that overwhelmingly take over my body and soul again. Lauren takes both my hands and looks into my eyes longingly. I can almost see right into the green windows to her soul, almost right into the most vulnerable part her. I can tell that she's waiting for me to tell her that she did the right thing getting off that plane. I open my mouth to tell her just that, but nothing comes out. Not a sound. I try once more but fail just as I did the first time...
