Pavel finds a mountain setting and asks Eadie if she feels like swimming. She wants to be in the water so badly after the time she spent stuck on dry land. Pavel programs in a waterfall. He feels like swimming too. He asks Eadie the Romanian word for waterfall and she has to think a little before answering.

"Ca-Ca-Casca-Cascada," she says, clearly frustrated at how long it takes her to get words out. She wants to thank Pavel for being patient with listening to her but she knows it'd take her a long time to get that whole thought out. She still her notebook in her pocket and pulls it out while Pavel plays with the holodeck settings.

Thank you for being patient with me. I'm sorry it takes me so long to say everything. I hate being unable to talk and not even being able to control my own voice. I talked to Doctor McCoy about fixing it and he says it can be a long process. I want to be able to talk to you again. I miss being able to talk to you for hours on end. I love you.

She nudges his side and passes him the notebook, watching his blue orbs scan over it rapidly. He smiles at her softly, kissing her forehead.

"I love you. I miss hearing your voice. I'm sure you'll get it back again."

She nods, letting him go back to the holodeck programming.

"Okay," he says softly. "This should be perfect. I made it a little warmer."

The holodeck changes from black and yellow to a beautiful clear waterfall and a large lake. There's a little shack where they can get changed and Pavel hums to himself as he pulls his shirt off. He hears Eadie yelp and he calls her name, knocking on the door to where she is and calling her name again. The door opens and she hurries out. A shirt covering her chest.

Pavel asks what's wrong and she points to the shack. He cautiously looks inside and doesn't see anything. Her hands are holding up her shirt so she can't sign and she can't seem to put any words together.

"Something scared you?" He asks. She nods. "Are you hurt?" She shakes her head. He looks again and notices something in the corner and frowns. "The spider? The spider frightened you?"

She nods and he smiles, telling her he'll go for a walk so she doesn't have to go back in. She thanks him by kissing his cheek and he walks over to the water, leaning close to it and dipping his fingertips into the pale blue. It's not too cold and he knows it'll be nice to swim in. He can see a few fishes swimming around and he puts his foot in the water, watching them scatter away. He smiles at just how real the water is and cups some of it in his hand.

Pavel gets pulled from his thoughts by Eadie stepping into the water and sending tiny ripples to his hand. He looks up and she wades in knee deep then dives in. He stays where he is and watches her until she comes up, breaching the surface and floating on her back.

He wades in and swims over to her, letting his whole body go loose in the water and submerging his head underwater. He swims underneath her and she giggles, taking his hands as he comes back up. He asks if she has ever kissed underwater before and she shakes her head. He counts down and they go under, bringing their lips together for as long as they can before they need to breathe again.

They stand under the waterfall and laugh as it hits their backs. He runs his hands through his hair and laughs. He pulls her behind the waterfall and there's a little cave just big enough to fit them both. Their legs rest in the water and Eadie's head rests on Pavel's shoulder.

"I missed the little things. I missed having water in my hair and getting to move around with you. I love you. I love you so much..."

She puts her hand on his cheek and pulls their lips together again. They kiss slowly and everything feels warm. Pavel's hands are on her hips and they deepen their kiss a little. Pavel feels warm again and Eadie brings one of her hands to the back of his neck and buries her fingers in his curls. She stops kissing his lips and before he can ask why, she starts kissing along his neck. He moans just a little, though he's not entirely sure why. He lets his hand travel slowly and she grunts in encouragement. He squeezes her chest gently and she smiles against his lips. He moans again, his body telling him to go further and test the waters.

"Eadie..." he moans, "Eadie, can we... Can we...."

Can we what?   She signs. He doesn't know how to continue.

"I want to make you feel good," he whispers, his hand resting on her knee.

I want to. Doctor said no touch, she signs. She isn't sure if it's correct or not. He seems to get the idea. He almost forgot entirely. She gestures to herself and looks down at his lap. He looks confused and she imitates a hand gesture that he recognises. He seems to get the idea.

"Maybe we can just leave it until another time..." He trails off.

I think you might like.

"Maybe," he mutters. "I just feel anxious. It's just easier when I'm the one in control."

She nods, putting a hand on his knee. She looks up at him and he looks like he's about to tell her something.

"M-May I?"
