IN A SMALL BUILDING OF BATTERY CITY:

The 11 year old girl with an afro looks outside her window and notices many people in white suits and vampire masks with their blasters at the ready, and the bald man in a fancy coat wearing headphones around his neck leading them all. Her father on the other hand, with messy brown short hair, glasses and a worried face is finishing a download onto a memory card which he gives to his daughter.

- Grace: Daddy... why... why are there so many Draculoids outside of our house?

- David: Oh they're already here... umm... it's...

- Grace: Did we do something wrong, daddy?

- David: Of course not, Sunshine, it's all a big misunderstanding that I will fix in a moment... but they can wait, right now we should do something fun, wanna play a game sunshine?

- Grace: Yeah! Yeah! I love playing with you, daddy! But you're always busy working...

- David: I know, sunshine... I know... But don't worry, I... my boss said that I can will have a lot of free time so... let's play Cops & Robbers, shall we?

- Grace: Yeah! I love that game, daddy!

- David: Okay, you have to sneak out and hide without anyone noticing, remember that if we catch you, you lose.

- Grace: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!

- David: Only come out when I say that time's up, okay?

- Grace: Yeah! (*runs away to hide*)

- David: I love you sunshine, mother did too... Run bunny, run.

Grace exits the house through a back window and looks for a clever place to hide.

- David (Opening his front door): Yes, officers? What's wrong?

- Korse: Don't play the fool, David. Everyone knows you have been working on an explosive device to "free" civilians, but they don't require anyone freeing them from anything. So, we're confiscating the artifact and purifying you and your daughter due to anarchism, similar to that of the wanderers outside the city.

- David: I would argue with you, but we both know that Helena has reinforced her beliefs into your code so much that it is physically impossible to change your mind, Korse.

- Korse: You'll be able to tell The Director your own beliefs when we arrive at Building B.

(*Two Dracs go handcuff David*)

- Korse: Where is your daughter?

- David: Nowhere

- Korse: Don't make this more complicated, Dave. Bring your daughter here.

- David: ...

- Korse: I said bring your daughter here! (*Grabs David by his shirt and lifts him off the ground*)

- David: Don't....Don't you understand Korse? It's the Time Of The Turning and the old world's falling, nothing you can do can stop the next emerging; we better learn to say our goodbyes to BL/ind.

Grace notices the argument and comes close to hear what is actually happening, she hides behind a trash can to not be noticed by Korse.

- Korse: (Pounding him against a wall) WHERE IS YOUR DAUGHTER?

- David: You'll never find her. She's with the Killjoys now.

- Korse: WHERE IS SHE? ANSWER ME!

- David: NEVER! I've had enough of Yamauchi's shit! We need a real life! No more of her synthetic bullshit! It's The Time Of The Turning and there's something stirring outside in the desert, if you all stop for a moment you can feel your control slipping away.
