Avril's Pov- It wasn't the same after that. It was like it was different life I was living outside of my own body. I never wanted to leave the house or anything. The holidays were worse you have all this family coming in from out of town and all you can do is stay to yourself.
When we got home for Christmas break we noticed a different change. Usually we hosted Thanksgiving and flew out for Christmas this year we flew out for Thanksgiving. Liam pulled in and parked the car. "That's odd." liam says."What's odd?." He turns off the engine. "You hear that?" "I hear nothing liam." Mallory says in the backseat. "Yeah that's what I mean." He replies.
We get our bags and start up the front porch and into the main entrance. The smell of pine filled the air as we walked into the foyer. We see Dad cleaning a living room ceiling fan while mom was dusting. "Hi, guys." Dad says mom turns towards us . "Hi darlings." "Mom? What's going on?" Mallory asks stepping in front of liam and I. "We are hosting Christmas this year since we flew for Thanksgiving." Mom says.
"So your guys responsibility is the upstairs, which is your bedrooms, bathroom, and the Staircase and hallway." Dad says stepping off the ladder. We all three groan at the task. Mom hands us our cleaning supplies and off we go. We each do our room. Then one does the vanity, Bathtub, and Toilet. So liam usually does the vanity, I do the bathtub and Mallory does the toilet. Then I do the hallway, liam does the stairs, and Mallory does the railing and banister.
By 5 o' Clock we are finished and mom and dad have started dinner. That's when the doorbell rings. I go and get it and it happens to be my mom's parents. "Oh!, Avril you look beautiful." My grandma says pulling me into a tight embrace. "Thank You." I reply. She steps in looking for the others. Then it's my grandpa's turn. "Oh you're a true gem." he says pulling me into him. I was honestly looking foward to the holiday.
The next morning the doorbell started at around 6 in the morning. Mom was up first yelling. "Alright I'm coming!, I'm coming!" liam comes in Mallory was not too far behind. "Do you see who is here.?" "No" He pulls back my curtain and I take in the details. On my doorstep was my five screaming cousins and all my aunts uncles. "Oh brother!" We all say unison.
At around 10 more doorbell ringing begins. Now it was all my dads family. By the end of the night we did a movie night. Mom decided to pop in one dad's old movies. "X-men Dark Pheniox." We watched it all the way through. Of course it caused paused many of times because everyone was shocked to know that we met the cast when we were little. After we watch the movie we all head to bed looking forward to the adventures that were awaiting us tommorow.
