Reminiscence

Chapter 32

Liam's Pov- I wake up to a light beeping noise and a nasal cannula up my nose. I take it all in I see the cards, balloons, Flowers. I hear footsteps and a hand rest on my cheek.

"Liam?." I hear the familiar voice. I look up and see the creases around her mouth and eyes were becoming more noticeable it almost made me cry. "Mom!." She hugs me tightly and tears begin to run down her cheeks. "Oh don't cry mom I'm okay." I gave her arm a reassuring squeeze. She smiled and wiped her tears away. "You about died liam had your roomate had not came home sooner you would have died right there on the floor where they fount you." I look up at her.

"Where's is everybody?." I look around. "Well your Dad is at the cafeteria getting some food, Mallory is in the bathroom, and Avril couldn't make it she is in Cali celebrating her engagement. Which you owe her an apology." My eyes water up. "She couldn't make it? She chose to celebrate her stupid ass engagement over her own brother." I say.

"Well in her defense you pretty much hung up on her so she took that as you didn't care for her." Mom says.

"Oh you got to be fucking kidding me right? No matter how many times she had been in trouble I had always been there. When she lost Derrick she-." "Enough liam! Watch your language around your mother!." Evan says handing her a sandwich. "Since when did you show up?." I ask. "Since long enough to know you talk to your mother in such tone and dialect again I will knock those pretty fuckboy brains out of you." My dad spats.

"Evan." Taissa says grabbing his arm. I swallow hard at what he said. "We have decided your mother and I. That you will be staying home with us for 6 months you can return back in the fall." Dad says.

"We have talked to your professors and your classes have been dropped and your stuff has been moved out of your dorm and back home to us." Mom states. "So that's it I don't get a choice in the matter?. I am going to be a semester behind." I say upset.

"You didn't give us a choice when you overdosed on your dormitory floor now did you and you sure as hell didn't consider your precious  life in that moment did you?." Mom says getting in my face. She grabs her purse and storms out dad looks at me before following her.

I sit there staring at the wall and tears run down your face.  "You still got me." I hear a voice. I look up and see Roseallie standing there balancing on the balls of her feet. "Can I come in?." She asks biting her lip. "Sure." I say wiping my cheeks. She takes a seat by my beside and takes my hand.

She gives me a soft smile before speaking. "I came to tell you I am sorry. I shouldn't have walked on you for that." "It's okay I understand you were scared. I love you that's all that matters and that we are together." I say giving her hand a reassuring squeeze. 

She looks off before speaking. "This is hard for me to do." She looks before wiping her cheeks from tears. "Liam we can't be together anymore." She says. It was if in that moment the world stopped turning. It felt as if my heart was going to shatter in a million pieces.

"Oh okay." I say tears streaming down my face. "I'm sorry liam I'm truly sorry." She gets up and grabs her purse she turns to me and gives me one last peck on the lips before walking out. There I sit all alone in a hospital without anyone.
