Henley's P.O.V
I lay in Steven's bed. Steven lays next to me, not saying a word. We both stare up at the ceiling. Bella sleeps peacefully between us, snoring ever so slightly. I giggle as she whines in her sleep. Steven laughs too, turning on his side to look at me.
"Where do you think he is?" Steven asks, his voice laced with concern.
"I-I don't know," I answer, feeling tears well up in my eyes. "He's been acting this way for a month. I-I don't know what to do. I don't know what I did wrong."
"You did nothing wrong, sweetheart. He's just being a dick."
"Obviously I had to do something if he's sneaking off late at night and not coming back until he knows I'm about to wake up. He's been so distant lately. He won't even say I love you anymore!" The tears start to fall. "Duff doesn't love me anymore, Stevie. He's found someone better. He doesn't want me anymore."
Steven's face softens at the sight of me crying. "Oh, Hennie." He moves the sleeping puppy out of the way, then engulfs me in a hug. "He still loves you. He was telling me just yesterday how happy he was to have you."
"He doesn't act like it, Stevie. Have you seen how cold he is with me? He acts like I did something wrong."
"Henley, don't talk like that. If it makes you feel any better, Bella and I love you."
I giggle at that. "You guys better. You're the only family I have left."
A knock on the door sounds through the apartment. My heart skips. Is Duff home?
I get up and walk to the door. I pull it open to reveal the last person I would expect.
"Hyde?"
He grins, looking down at his feet. His aviators cover his crystal blue eyes. His hair is shaggy and curly. What the hell is he doing here?
"What are you doing here? How did you know I was here?"
"I-uh-asked Madeline where you were. She told me straight away," He answers, rubbing the back of his neck. The universal guy sign for nervousness.
"Why did you want to know where I was?"
He shrugs, finally meeting my eyes. "I miss us being friends."
"Hyde, all we did was make out. How is that being friends?" I cross my arms.
"We used to talk too! Remember, you'd always listen to me go on and on about my conspiracy and we'd talk about music."
I smile shyly. "Yeah, I remember."
"Don't you miss that? 'Cause I sure as hell do. I get tired of Jake whining about how you broke his heart. It totally wasn't your fault, by the way. He's a huge cry baby," Hyde confesses.
I giggle at his description of Jake. I mean, he's not wrong. Jake is a cry baby when he doesn't get his way.
"Is that Duff?" Steven asks from the back of the living room.
"No, it's a friend of mine," I answer. I turn to Steven with a smirk on my face. "You guys wanna get drunk tonight?"

It's a few hours later, and the three of us have down two bottles of vodka and two bottles of Jack Daniels. Needless to say, we're all feelin' pretty damn good right about now.
I giggle as Hyde falls onto the floor after leaning too far forward to get the bottle of vodka we just opened.
"Ouch," He whines, rubbing his head.
I laugh even harder, leaning into Steven. Stevie laughs along with me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. Bella comes bounding into the room without warning. She uses Hyde as a jump pad, and jumps on his stomach. Bella lands on the couch, running to sit in Steven's lap.
I giggle at the small pup, scratching behind her ears. She yips at me, then jumps back down onto the floor. Steven laughs, shaking his head. I smile, feeling really sleepy. Before I can fall asleep, however, I hear the front door open.
I hear the heavy footsteps of Duff's cowboy boots. I smile even wider, happy to hear that my lovely boyfriend is home. Duff walks in, a frown on his face. What's his problem?
"Henley, I need to talk to you," He says sternly.
I frown, not wanting to leave Steven's warm embrace. "Why?"
"Just, please?" He sighs. "Before I lose my nerve?"
I groan, getting off of the couch. I didn't realize just how much Steven was leaning on me until he fell sideways because I wasn't supporting him. I giggle lightly, walking out onto the porch with Duff.
"What's up?" I say, hopping up onto the railing. I lean against one of the supports, watching Duff. He looks like he did something wrong. Is he okay?
"I did something horrible, Henley." He runs a hand through his tousled hair. Is it just me or is it messier than when he left? "I've been doing this horrible thing for weeks now."
"What is it?" My voice drops to a deep tone. I feel the tears prick at my eyes. I can't let him see me cry.
"I-uh-I've been cheating on you," Duff says, guilt eating away at his voice.
My eyes widen. I fucking knew it. I nod my head, looking down at my feet. "Makes sense," I say in a rather cool and calm tone.
He looks at me, confused. "What?"
I hop off of the railing. "I fucking knew you didn't love me anymore. You could have just broke up with me, you dick! I fucking never want to see you again. Stay the fuck away from me." I feel the tears run down my face as I nearly run down the sidewalk.
I hear Duff scream my name as I run away. I can't fucking believe this. I love him so much and this is how he repays me. I wish I'd never met that dickhead. He obviously doesn't care for me. Fuck him.
