"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Kellan asked, pulling his shoes on as he hobbled toward the bedroom door.

"Yeah," Tom paused to cough into his elbow a few times. "David's here, and so are Carly and Erin. I'll be fine."

Kellan frowned to himself. He stared down at his feet for a moment before resuming his walking out the door. "Love you."

"Love you too."

A couple seconds after closing the door, Kellan opened it again. "Nope," he said, chucking his shoes across the room.

"What?" Tom sat up a little and proceeded to wince in pain.

"I'm not leaving you today. You're sick and hurt, and I'm not leaving you."

Tom shook his head. "No, I'm fine. You have to go to work."

"I'm sure they'll understand. It's too late for them to recast my part, so I'm safe. I'm staying home with you until you feel better." He pulled his jacket off and laid back down on the bed. Tom immediately curled into him.

"Really, I'm okay."

Kellan chuckled. "Even so, I'm staying with you because I love you. I happen to care more about you than I do my job."

Tom smiled to himself. "I love you too."

"You know," Kellan shifted for a second, "I've been thinking. You spend literally all your time here because of the accident. So why don't you officially move in?"

"What?"

"I mean, you don't have to, but I'd love it if you would. And then once you're walking again, we could get our own place."

Tom leaned into Kellan's body more and muttered into his chest, "I'd love to."

Kellan grinned and kissed Tom's forehead in response.
