[this should explain some confusion but. . . IGADFF if y'all are still confusion after. If my foggy memory is correct, next chapter might be the last chapter. But don't worry, I plan on doing an explanation chapter that explains the entire book.

Also, I confused myself by trying to explain my own writing :/

Deceit groaned as his eyes fluttered open. He looked around and realized he was with Thomas, his head in the host's lap. His body felt still and he couldn't move despite wanting to. He heard voices around him yet. . .he couldn't see anyone but his host.

"So. . .what happened exactly?" Thomas asked, looking down at Deceit. He gently ran his fingers through the snake's hair.

"Deceit's mind is so broken that he somehow managed to trap himself in a state of unconsciousness. While his body is in the real world Mindscape, his mind and spirit are here in the subconsciousness.  His mind is mixing his nightmares and memories into a reality that he can't escape until he is physically woken up. Apathy, the real Apathy, is trapping him here. He's trying to get Deceit to help him, to save him, but instead a war broke out.

All these events, the pain and fear were just illusions. However, from what Sleep reported to me, he's going to have some mental suffering after he becomes awaken. It's a confusing thought process, I know, but I know everything will turn out just fine Thomas."

Thomas nodded at the Side whom was explaining things. He still couldn't wrap his mind around everything and he was getting a headache from all the confusion. Why did this have to be so confusing?!

"Integrity and Curiosity are watching over the Dark's leader. I'll have them bring him here so Deceit could unleash Apathy and everything can return to its normal state. However. . ." The Side paused, unsure of how Thomas would take the news. "Apathy will no longer be apathy. His trait will change to one of a sub-side. He'll be the opposite; Empathy; since he's gained emotions and will also be in a terrible mental state afterwards."

"Thank you for the explanation, Justice..." Thomas sighed. "Alright, bring the villain of the tale here so we can fix this mess."

Deceit's eyes widened. He still didn't understand what was going on nor did he understand what was happening. He could feel himself waking up again and it was like having an out of body experience. Thomas gave him a small smile and kissed his head before sitting him up.

Deceit could hear himself go into a coughing fit as 'he' looked around. He saw two familiar Sides, two that usually hung around Römische, three that he doesn't recognize and. . . Oh dear lord—Apathy.

"Sit Apathy," A Side dressed as a sherif—Justice, Deceit guessed—commanded the killer. Apathy growled but did as told as two of the not recognized Sides forced him down. He felt himself crawling towards the growling side, moving without him actually moving. His body was on autopilot.

"Adriean.." He heard himself whisper, "please, I know you're in there.." He hugged the other, a warm yellow glow covering them. Deceit could hear Apathy screaming-- a pitiful sound when the one whom seems to be causing the pain was a father. "Shh, Apathy, it'll be over soon.."

Soon the yellow faded and Deceit's body moved, ignoring Deceit's begging to get away, instead holding a teenage looking Side to his chest. The young looking Side looked up at Deceit, tears filling their eyes.

"H-hurts Dece.." The Side whimpered. He involuntarily shushed them gently, taking out a pocket knife. "I-it h-hurts!"

"I know, my young Apath.." Deceit's voice cooed. He flinched as he heard a loud shriek rang out.

"Deceit! You're awake!"
