"Don't you want a taste of what power is like?" The voice asked the Side. "All you have to do is follow my command, and you'll have every Side bowing before you."
"I could care less about power. All I truly care about is keeping Deceit's kids safe." the Side replied with a shrug. True to his trait, Apathy didn't give a crap about anything unless it was a medical emergency.
"Oh, but I'm sure you would love seeing people fear you. Obey you. Isn't that what you always dreamed of, A?" the voice insisted. Apathy hummed and looked down in guilt. Yes, he had dreamed of it before but he knew better than to try and take over the place.
"Y-yes, but--"
"Then let me help."Apathy sighed shakily and looked around to make sure no one was around. Though, in all honesty, he didn't care who saw him nor did he care who got hurt. "Alright, I'll do it."
"Good choice A."
Darkness swallowed Apathy, the poor guy let out a scream. This wasn't what he thought would happen when he agreed. He regret his choice and tried to run but he couldn't move. He screamed again but all he saw was darkness.
'where am I? what's happening to me? why did I agree to this?' Apathy thought as he wandered around in the darkness.
"Adreian?" A familiar voice asked. Apathy recognized it as Deceit's.
"Hey Dece!" Apathy heard his voice say. But...Apathy didn't say it, and he NEVER called Deceit 'dece'.
"Whatcha doing with the knife?" Deceit asked, concern in his voice. Apathy tried to warn him; tried to get Deceit to run but...Snake Dad couldn't hear him.
"Well, Dece, I decided that you need to be taught a lesson," 'Apathy' said. Deceit didn't have time to react before he got a knife to the stomach. Rage had come down with the other two, laughing and talking about how Self Doubt had miserably failed at beating them in Smash Bros.
They stopped when they saw Deceit on the floor holding his stomach, and 'Apathy' standing over him. Rage was the first to react, shoving 'Apathy' away as Depression and Self Doubt tried to help Deceit out.
"This is just the beginning." 'Apathy' chuckled. Apathy watched the scene play out in front of him. For the first time in forever, he actually cared about something. He had to find a way out of the darkness.
'The end is just the beginning, Apathy, and soon ALL your little 'friends' will bow before me!' The voice told him. Apathy's breath hitched as he started running through the darkness.
'No one can stop me'
