Dissidia Kingdom: Kane, Cid Raines
ShinRa Kingdom: Zack Fair, Cloud Strife, Steng and Reno
And finally, Lucio's Kingdom. [M\N], Alan,Noah and James
Noctis was not entirely sure why your father had agreed to send you four instead of choosing the best warriors that their Kingdom had to offer. There was no doubt that you four had the potential to become extremely skilled, he had seen you all train and he had to admit that you were pretty good. With only over three years of training, you all learned so much in that time. Not only that, but he had to admit that he was impressed that you four had survived.
Many older and far more experienced soldiers had died and yet you had survived. He had ears and he had heard that while at war, people fear that all of the young recruits would die.
Or perhaps it was the surprise that you had survived. People were curious and wanted to see you four in action.
The competition had already started, Noctis couldn't see where you were but he was told that you were waiting for your turns.
Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Oblivion already fought. He wasn't really surprised when Terra and Vincent won.
Then Lunar Kingdom and Dissidia Kingdom went at eachtoher. Their fight had to come to an end because the four warriors were just on par.
When it came to his warriors, he wasn't really surprised either when Alan lost to Cloud, Noah lost to Reno, Alan despite putting up with a good fight, lost to Zack.
"And now our final match! Welcome [M/N] who will face none other than....!" The announcer screamed with so much enthusiasm that the people roared in excitement.
Noctis already predicted the outcome of the last battle, he knew that just like the other three, you would lose. However, he was intrigued to see you fight. Your name was called, and you walked into the arena. There was something so odd about you, so...He couldn't explain it. You walked out with so much confidence, not an ounce of --- could be detected.
You were waiting patiently for your opponent to be announced. The announcer paused almost as if there was a mistaken. People began to talk amongst themselves as there was silence. Who was going to be your opponent? They were curious, and of course they didn't know that you would be facing Steng.
"Please welcome Sephiroth, First Class Soldier!" And as on cue, the silver haired male entered. Sephiroth walked into the arena but instead of greeting the audience like the rest, his sight was on you.
But even with the intimidating man facing you, you didn't seemed to be paused at all. If anything, everyone else seemed a lot more surprised. Cloud on the other hand, seemed angry, maybe a hint of fear?
Noctis glanced to Ignis and the other two, Rufus' eyebrows were knighted. Obviously, he wasn't very pleased by the sudden change. There was a sudden feel to ask why the change, but he stopped himself and watched the match.
---
How couple people be so fooled? Maybe it wasn't too obvious, they've had very young recruits as well and some looked as small as you did.
That's what caught his attention that someone like you had actually survived the war compared to those who had died. They had been physically stronger, and yet you survived. Other skilled and much more experienced soldiers had kept their lives in battle and yet someone so weak looking was now here standing in front of him.
Though he had to admit that between the four of you, you showed to move a lot more fluently.
But he couldn't, definitely couldn't wait to test your skills, this was certainly the first time he had encountered a woman with the skills like yours.
Once the match began, the two of you attacked.Sparks flew as both of your swords clashed, though as soon as they clashed together you jumped back.
He was surprised to say the least, you lacked strength and for obvious reasons, and yet you used you speed to jump back just in time. Not leaving you much time to recover, he attacked again, but this time you jumped to the side, and tried to slice his side.
He moved just in time, blocking the attack. The two of you continued to attack eachtoher, and during the match you managed to actually give him a couple of slashes, and even landed a couple of blows.
You though, despite being beaten a lot more than your friends, you refused to give up. It was until you barely managed to stand up that they ended the match, Sephiroth being the winner of course.
But you had surprised him more than he anticipated. There was a lot that you could improve, but with the four years of total battle training , he had to admit you really could become a very promising soldier.
Besides, you didn't give up that easily, something that he admired. You were covered on blood, there was blood dripping from your lip and that had been by a blow to your jaw. Even if you had trouble standing up, you forced yourself to stand up and walked out of the arena.
The two of you walked side by side, and when out of sight from the others, he hears you cough. He didn't think much of it, until you grasped your torso and continued to cough more. Your coughing became uncontrollable to the point that you were gasping for air and you were forced to the ground.
He rushed to your side, trying to place you on your side only for you to groan in pain. The amount of blood leaving your lips was definitely not from the busted lip.
Looking around, he carefully lifted your shirt to see what you had trouble breathing. You didn't even struggle and for obvious reasons, you were trying not to drown in your own blood. He didn't notice any deep wounds, but he could see that you had a broken rib. Chances were, that rib had punctured a lung which was why you had so much trouble breathing.
Taking you into his arms, he rushed to a medic. If he didn't get you a medic, you would drown in your own blood. The medic took you in, and Sephiroth waited outside.
He wanted to test you, to see you prove yourself but perhaps he had overdone himself.
