Cat like eyes stared at your own, Angeal and Sephiroth had been separating you all into three groups. Zack and the others had already left, so with the day just staring, you were going to be divided into three groups.
The two soldiers that were on your team clearly showed their distaste, so Sephiroth had to hold you back, and he was just watching you for a moment. "You're supposed to be the group's leader, but from what I see it won't be an easy task." Glancing at the two men, he sent them a glare, "you knew that being First Class Soldier wouldn't be easy. This is one of the things that you're going to have to face. So, you're going to have to show them that you're a First Class Soldier for a reason, so if necessary, proved your strength."
Furrowing your eyebrows, you pondered if it would have to come to that. "You're suggesting that I beat them up?"
"Unfortunately, that will be required for you. We can order them to follow your instructions, but we won't always be around. You need to reach then not to disrespect you, and to show them their place." Glancing at his team, he began to walk away.
Rubbing your face in frustration, you gathered yourself and began to walk towards the other two males. They were older than you, maybe close to their thirties, so it definitely would not be very easy to try to get them to follow your instructions. "Our mission will be to assist guard the gates of the Kingdom. Report and if necessary, apprehend them. The Kingdom's guards will take care of the rest."
The truth was, a lot of refugees were arriving to the Kingdom and it was hard to know if there were any spies, thieves, and just criminals in general. When they only glanced at each other, you sighed. "You were given your orders, but if you want to look like a pair of children in front of these people then go right a head."
Sephiroth gave you an a suggestion but the last thing these people needed was for you attack the two men. Besides, what kind of image would you be giving them? That ShinRa's soldiers attacked one an other? That they were not reliable? Leaving them behind, you headed to the gates. Though with a few murmurs from the people, your companions followed you right after.
It wasn't the most exciting task, but it was a necessary task in order to keep the safety of the people. Though more than just that, you weren't needed here for that task, you all were here just in case the Kingdom was attacked and you needed to defend it while the civilians evacuated it.
About noon when you left for a bathroom break, you were on your way back when you noticed something suspicious. More than suspicious, the male had been looking at you. Long pink hair flowing with the wind, and blue eyes. A smile played on his lips, looking almost friendly, key word, almost. When you focused you gaze on his clothing and the symbol of his Kingdom on his chest, your eyes widened.
His smile widened as you held your sword and took it out of its cover, "Intruder!" You alarmed the rest of the soldiers, but he wasn't about to stick around for long. Out of nowhere, something appeared and from it, three individuals appeared. As soon as these individuals were out of this... Thing that you couldn't even name, the other male entered it banishing from sight.
Since you were closer, you were able to see these individuals more clearly. From afar, they looked human, just like any other civilian, but their eyes looked white, white, like the eyes of the dead. There were civilians still around, so they began to attack those who were way too curious to run away.
You had been way too far to arrive in time, your speed may be inhuman but it you were too far to stop one of them from attacking a young man. The man, or whatever it was, sunk its hand on the young man's chest. Killing him instantly, you didn't waste any time, and you killed the three of them without trouble. Once close to their sight, of they were still able to see, they ignored the rest and you became their target. As if something of you drew them in.
