The longer you remained inside this tent, the more exaggerated the rumors would be. So, you stood up and decided to go back to you place. "I forgot how it felt..." Someone stepped in front of you,a young blue haired male blocked your path. You would have received your sword but he was wearing the very same uniform that most soldiers were wearing.
You stepped back inside the tent and the closer you studied him, the longer you realized that he wasn't a soldier. He may be dressed as one, but his uniform was impeccable, his hair slicked back. There was no sign of him that he had participated in the battle.
He stepped forward and his eyes twinkled as he looked at you. "I'll make it simple," with a wave of his hand, his uniform, his well styled hair banished. His hair was layered, part of it covering one of his eyes. Instead of the uniform, he was wearing that black cloak. "The only outcome will be the same, but if you come willingly I assure you that your friend will be freed."
It wouldn't be difficult to fight him, and you were about to when Zack's face flashed in front of you. Aerith wasn't just a friend, she was important to him. Adding that and your guilt, you lowered your weapon. Zack was not wrong, besides...Once inside that Kingdom maybe you could do something? "How do I know you'll let her go without being harmed?"
His lips formed a smile. "She is useless to us, she's been doing nothing but crying since she was taken. I assure you, she will be freed. However, if you decide not to come willingly I cannot promise her safety."
Your eyes glanced to the exit, your ears caught the sound of steps. It was either Roxas or Zack so you would have to quickly make a choice. The man reached forward with his hand, and...You took it. However, before the two of you banished, he grabbed your weapon and threw it to the side. The sound caught the attention of whomever was approaching and he quickened his steps. By the time he entered the tent but he was already to late.
Zack only only saw your back and the back of the male entering some sort of portal. "[Name]!" He reached with his hand to stop you, but just as his hand was about to touch your back, the portal closed and you were gone from his sight.
He didn't run and yet with how fast he was breathing it was as if he had ran a marathon. His outstretched hand curled into a fist, as if he would grasp something. He remained on that spot for a few minutes, his brain trying to process what you had done. He returned to apologize, he was wrong in asking you to sacrifice yourself. It wasn't your fault that Aerith was in the situation she was.
His lowered his hand and his gaze landed on the ground. What was even more horrifying was that he had asked you, his childhood friend. He had asked you to sacrifice yourself because you were able to defend yourself. And you were but with a great cost, your skills were gained with literal blood and sweat. You sacrificed any normal life you had, you went through a lot of pain, suffering. The life you had was harsh, since you were a kid you were a fighter. All of that was true, but it wasn't fair to ask you to expose yourself to even more pain.
Maybe there was a certain link, but soon after Roxas joined him. "Zack, I have to tell you more." The male at first didn't question why Sack looked so defeated, that was until something on the ground caught his attention. To the side was a sword, it was just like the many that soldiers carried but he knew this one was yours. It wasn't filled with blood, no, with your experience you knew that if you didn't clean it properly after a battle it would be damaged. So you kept it clean, ready for the next battle. "Where is she?" He didn't need a heart, it wasn't there but the greeting of knowing where you were, it almost felt as if his heart had skipped a beat.
Zack didn't respond, "come on, she shouldn't be a lot far."But she was, "one of them took her." Finally the Raven haired male answered, whatever courage he had, he used to turn around and face Roxas. "If I hadn't...."
Roxas' eyes widened in utter horror. "No....No..."
"She's goin-" Most likely she would, no doubt, at least that's what Zack tried to tell himself.
The horror was drained from Roxas' face, it was replaced by what could be considered rage. "Fine?" He scoffed, "this isn't about just our hearts. Knowing Xemnas, there must be other motives as to why she wants her. " Looking away, Roxas frowned even deeper. "This..." And he stormed out of the tent.
Zack followed Roxas, wanting to ask more questions about what he meant about his last comment.
They served her right to him, Roxas believed that if he kept your existence to himself and his two friends then they shouldn't be worried. He was actually received that with Aerith being in their possession, you would no longer their target. That woman was safe until they found a solution, or until they out an end to Xemnas. Maybe that was why he was helping during the war, to put an end to this madness.
Now that you willingly offered yourself, he new he couldn't keep this information to himself. This was beyond his will to just protect you, this was way beyond him. He could easily try to go and get you but they would know he was there and he'll be captured. He would be unable to help you or anyone else.
This time...It was time to reveal to everyone what he knew.
