5. IF POEMS CAN

If poems can speak,
Will they tell me something?
Or ask why I end up loving them?

If poems can complain,
Will they blame me for writing them,
While I'm drowning in my tears and pain?

If poems can cuss,
Will they curse me for clinging on them?
As I use them to heal my own pain?

If poems can be a man,
Will he hate me as a woman?
For I truly see his worth only when I'm hurt?
