In the sea of faces,
Where men and women of beauty turn heads,
The girl only wishes,
To find a beautiful soul that feels like home,
In the sea of faces,
Where wealth and popularity are the metrics of success,
The girl only wishes,
For a simple life away from the loud city,
In the sea of faces,
Where temporary attachment becomes the trend,
The girl still hopes,
For a genuine connection that can last a lifetime,
In the sea of faces,
Where most choose pride, guns and wars,
The girl writes poem,
To remind herself she doesn’t need to be like them to win her battle,
In the sea of faces,
This girl chooses to be a heart instead,
And love not merely base on what the eyes can see,
But looks deeper into what the soul appears to be.
