Twilight flickered as the pain spread through my veins
I closed my eyes, listening to its chaotic rhythm
The waves of the words appeared too untamed
As I ventured on top of the valley of my sense
Holding a blank paper, my skin felt the sharpness of fence
My pen started the stroke, the blood appeared on the stem
I was full of imagery and scenery as the pain came
When the night arrived, the darkness engulfed my lens

Under the magnificent moonlight, I’d created the first line
In the taunting beauty of the stars, I finished another one
The heavy sensation in my chest became my poetry’s vine
As I succumbed to its depth, I felt the roughness of the lawn
The deeper the wounds, the stronger the poems my hands bind
When it ended, I sighed, captivated by the beauty of dawn
