There's a fear that thumps constantly
Like how her heart beats in her body
Sometimes, it resembles the calm sea
At times when the waves and the sky agree
Most days, it is the storm on her way
Destroying the trees' peaceful swayNeither failure nor its future possibility
Is the mother of this grown up peculiarity
The seed comes in the womb of success
In certainty that dreams can be accessedFor nothing is scarier for this hopeful dreamer
Than knowing even the stars taste meager
Right after giving everything just to reach it
When the lights, such beauty in the sky emit
Cannot even quench her unexplained longingFor the thing she can't name, but her soul's been yearning.
