There is no need for a knife
To wound someone so deep
Nor the need to pull the trigger
To put a bullet in someone's heart
We can plant seeds of destruction
Without even lifting our handsThe words uttered by cruel mouths
Can leave scars in someone's life
It can break hearts and incite fears
Words are powerful that if use abusively
These could become the toxic garden
Where a child's trauma takes rootWhat's truly heartbreaking is to realize
Some of these committed insensitivities
The culprits aren't even aware of the crimes
While victims are prisoners of the memories
