8. TANGENT LINES

459 30 1

I was once a simple line,
I was quiet and alone.
Filled with connecting dots,
With certainty and no doubts.

You're another line,
Looking happy and fine,
But filled with confusion,
Like you've lost your direction.

We're parallel lines,
We could look at each eyes,
But I couldn't hold your  hand.
Nor cross your land.

Then, I made the mistake,
When I still took a step,
Even when we shouldn't intersect,
For my heart would be wrecked.

I've reached you at the center,
I swallowed my doubt and fear.
You suddenly enclosed yourself,
A circle I once touched but couldn't have for myself.

Now, I'm no longer a simple line,
I'm no longer quiet but still alone,
I am now a broken tangent line,
And I didn't know if I'll be fine.

If I could  bring back time,
I'll change the rhyme,
Can we go back as parallel lines?
When I'm just a simple line?
