Don't be mad at me, although I'm sure you've been occupied in another form or way, just don't be angry that I keep skipping Halloween and Christmas. I was truly planning on writing a short story on Christmas and making it very chilling, but my time management had gone wack. Here's part 2 though, as promised, but extremely late. :) Happy 2020! I'm excited to be here (late as hell though ) once again.

"What do you think May intended? She wanted to be with Wilson and she'd do anything for him. That's how your horny ass feels about Mrs. Johns."

"Yeah, she's hot, but I wouldn't kill somebody over her!" Jameson slammed his hands on his desk at Sophie as the last few minutes of 6th period passed by.

They were going to the farm again.

"Ok, I get it. But anyways, I know what I saw! There was a woman standing there Jameson!" The bell rang and they grabbed their things.

" I think you're just seeing things. There wasn't supposed to be anyone there except us and the tour guide, who locked up and left before we did!"

Sophie felt insecure about the way she was addressing the situation. She knew she sounded crazy, but there was a woman. And she was convinced it was May.

"We'll know for sure once we get there." Sophie says with confidence as she and him grab their bikes and head off onto the dirt road in the back of the school, a shortcut to the farm according to maps.

The trees glimmered by as they pedaled swiftly and soundlessly down the dirt path. The wind made the trees wave a little and there were faint wind chimes in the distance.

"The wind chimes! We're close." Jameson starts to pedal faster, signaling Sophie to keep up behind him.

A rusted black roof appears, and as they get closer, the barn comes in full view.

"We did it. Now for the truth." Sophie hops off her bike and leaves it onto the dirt path as she runs to the opening of the barn.

"Okay, first plan. We find the bloody abortion letter and we read it again, and we find the letter from her so called lover, that we didn't have time to read." James rolls his eyes, but agrees.

"I'm telling you, there's no woman here, but reading has gotta be the best part."

As they near the entrance, they hear laughter...a woman's laughter.  The two 7th graders glance at each other in confusion. "You heard that, right? That had to have been the woman...." Sophie knew it wasn't her mind playing tricks on her, but James insisted that it was. " Calm down already! It's an abandoned barn museum! A lot of people come around here to look..." But as he was talking her off, he was looking around, noticing that there was no tour guide, there were no cars, and somehow, the barn's doors were wide open when they had arrived. He looks ahead at the remainder of the ranch house that May burned down, and thought.

"Why'd you stop talking? Do you finally believe me?!" Sophie throws her hands up and walks inside the barn.

"No, wait for me! I'm sorry...but you did have a point..we need to stay together."

She turns around, smiling in victory. "Well come on then, let's find this bitch."

The barn had a mixture of earthy smells, most of the smell being the ancient hay stacks in the corner, and the rising scent of rotting wood. As Sophie searches for the light, James reviews the letters in glass cases that are set in the middle of the room.
