Michael's POV
I was sitting at lunch, slurping on my sweet frozen drink, when Y/N plopped down next to me.
"Hey." She turned my face towards her, giving me a short, sweet kiss on the lips.
It made my face go totally red, and all conversations at the table stopped as everyone gaped at us.
Y/N was nonchalantly eating her food, and glanced up at everyone questioningly.
"Oh yah, we're dating now."
She informed them.
My face went redder.
"WHAT?!?" All the conversation from before, was suddenly 3 times louder, and people were shouting over each other trying to ask us questions.
Jeremy was yelling at me, Rich was shaking Jake's arm and vice versa. Brooke was sitting there, mouth hanging open as her eyes darted between the two of us, and Dustin was tapping away on his phone, lightning fast.
I looked at Y/N who had a smug grin on her face, and she glanced at me and winked. I smirked back.
Suddenly her smile dropped and she was staring behind me. I felt a hand on my arm drag me away from the table, and the yelling faded as someone dragged me into the hallway.
Brooke pushed me against the lockers and stared me in the face.
"You better not hurt her ever again okay? She really likes you, okay? And I'll kill you myself if you screw her over. Got it?"
I just nodded obediently, too frightened to say words. She stuck to her nose-breaking promise pretty well, I didn't want to see if she'd stick to her death threat.
And I don't think I was physically capable of hurting her again. I couldn't.
I saw what it was like to betray her, to see her hurt, and I never want to see that again.
Especially if it's me who's done that to her.
Y/N POV
I sat anxiously at our table, tuning out everyone's shouting, to see Brooke storming out of the hall, Michael trailing behind looking spooked.
I jumped up and grabbed Brooke's elbow.
"What did you say to him?"
"Nothing. Don't worry about it."
I rolled my eyes. She was always just looking out for me, so I couldn't stay too mad.
I walked back to the table and Michael and I sat down.
Once we were settled, Jeremy spoke first.
"Okay, so what happened?"
"Yah, weren't you dating before? Why are you guys acting weird now?"
Michael looked embarrassed, and I explained the situation.
I put a hand on his shoulder.
"But, he's never going to do that again, and I 100% forgive him."
Michael blushed and kissed my temple, making me giggle. Jeremy wiggled his eyebrows and I giggled more. Michael threw my soda can at his head.
"My soda!" I frowned. Michael shrugged and I punched him in the arm.
We continued to talk at lunch and chat about relationships. Every time I used the word "couple" Christine would whisper something to Jeremy and the two would blush profusely.
They'd be a cute couple. I thought.
I took Michael's slushie and sipped it, my mouth freezing, and my lips turning red from the cherry flavored ice.
Michael stared and me and smiled.
"What?"
He just kept smiling a dopey grin.
"Nothing."
"Okay." I giggled.
Michael's POV
I felt my slushie snatched from my hand, and looked down at Y/N. She was wrapped up in her oversized sweater, sipping from my slushie, and she looked so cute.
I felt a light pink dust my cheeks at the sight. My amazing girlfriend, drinking from my slushie, her lips stained cherry red, and she was so cute. I don't know why it made me blush. It was really nothing.
"What?" She giggled.
A beautiful sound. Made her even cuter if that was possible, the way her eyes squinted and her right shoulder came up.
"Nothing."
"Okay." She smiled.
I am absolutely smitten.
