Michael's POV
Y/N had left a little while ago, and Jeremy and I were playing video games at my house.
"Dude, we didn't 'do' anything."
Jeremy groaned and I flicked him.
"What's the point of getting a rebound, if you don't 'do' anything."
He pointed out.

"She isn't like that, she wouldn't do that on the first date."
Jeremy sighed and put down his controller.
"Okay, but at some point you have to be honest with her. You can't just drag this out."
I thought for a minute, but handed him his controller and smiled.
"I know. Now I'm going to beat your ass Heere." I smirked. He chuckled and opened a new game of MarioKart.

"What the-?! Dude how'd you beat all the high scores??" Jeremy screeched.
"Oh, that was Y/N. She's really good at MarioKart."
Jeremy was still scanning the screen like it was some ancient artifact, or poetic book or something.
"Okay, well let's play."

*time skip*

I was laying on my bed, thinking about today. Jeremy and Brooke's words bounced around in my head, but the face that stuck out the most was Y/N.

"At some point you have to be honest with her."
"You can't do this to her."
"You can't drag this out."
"So are we like... dating?"

I groaned and stuffed a pillow over my face, feeling the guilt churning again.
I really did like Y/N. She was great, and sweet. She liked video games a lot, and she looked beautiful...
But that's not why I asked her out.
And it would be lying to say anything otherwise.

I didn't know how to tell her the truth now, especially since there's such strong feelings, at least on one side.
I wasn't sure how I felt, emotions are confusing, but I'd figure it out.

With my stomach heaving, my brain buzzing, and my fingers aching from video games, I fell asleep, drifting off into a land of pitch blackness and weird dreams. Fun.

*time skip*

I woke up to the morning sun frustrating my eyes, sat up to hear my phone buzz.
I looked down and the stress melted from my shoulders as I read the message on my phone.

Y/N: You know when you walk into a room and forget why you went in there?
That's God playing Sims, he just cancelled your action.

I snickered and replied with a laughing emoji, before sitting up out of bed and walking downstairs.
I grabbed an apple and my cars keys, making my way to the door.

"Michael! Who did you have here yesterday?"
I heard my mom call behind me.
"Just Jeremy mom."
I reached for the doorknob again, to only hear more yelling.
"No, there was someone else here before that!"
I froze.
Shoot I forgot to tell her.

"Uhh, no one it was just Jeremy!"
I don't know why I felt the need to lie, but I raced out the door, shouting a quick farewell, and shoving the key in the ignition.
Now I was lying to my mom. Great.
What is up with me?!
