A/N:Just assume from now on there's going to be massive angst and stuff.
Michael's POV
This was getting real bad. Really, really bad.
Kids were disappearing, left and right.
Kids from West Borough.
Kids from Westerburg.
Kids from Park Vista Community.
Every school in the area was loosing kids.
Who would do this?
Why were they doing this?
Who was next? When?
It made everyone pretty worried. Everyone was on edge all the time. There was no discernible trait between the kids that were taken, other than they were all high school students.
Everyone was on high-surveillance at all times, watching kids, making strict curfews. Somehow though, kids still disappeared.
I studied the news reports, the names.
Christine Caligula, Jeremy Heere, Ram Sweeney, Justin LaBoy, Veronica Sawyer, Chloe Valentine.
I sat in my bed, re-reading the news reports, when I got a new report.
***NEWS FLASH: AMBER ALERT***
Goddamn, another one.
Heather McNamara, Westerburg High School.
Age 17, short, blonde hair.
I sighed and added her to my mental list.
Where were these kids going?
I got a text from Y/N.
Y/N: Hey sorry I couldnt come over I missed curfew
Michael: its fine. stay safe.
Y/N: Love you see you tomorrow
I sat and pulled out my picture of Jeremy.
"Jeremy, I'm so sorry. Please stay safe, don't get killed or something. We all really miss you here. Come back."
I stared at his picture longer, his warm smile, his bright blue eyes.
I teared up and threw the picture at the wall breaking down, tears flowing steadily.
I suddenly heard a screech from the window next to where I threw the picture, and saw Y/N climbing inside.
"Why are you throwing things? Are you okay?"
She said. I gasped and ran to her, helping her inside.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Why were you outside this late?! By yourself?!"
She chuckled.
"Michael I'm fine. Why are you crying?"
I sighed.
"Nothing, just Jeremy."
She frowned and kissed my cheek, messing with my hair.
"Now. Why on earth would you come here alone this late?"
She scratched her elbow and looked up at me.
"Michael, I'm fine. I promise-"
"But what if you weren't?! You have to be more careful, okay? I c-can't... I can't loose you too."
She suddenly looked so sad. Probably as sad as I felt.
She wrapped her arms around my neck tightly, nearly knocking me over.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, and buried her head in the crook of my neck.
I wrapped my arms around her waist and did the same.
"I love you too."
And I did. I loved her so much.
I couldn't express it, it was too much.
I held her close like it was the last time.
Because honestly, it could be. You just didn't know anymore.
