Michael's POV
Y/N and I were walking into the mall, holding slushies.
"I whole-heartedly agree. If there is a flamethrower, is has to be in the back of the cafetorium."
She giggled and sipped her drink.
"We'll beat it this time. I know."
We were on our way to Spencer's when Y/N froze, staring at Forever 21.

"You want to go in?" I asked.
She just kept staring, not saying anything.
"Y/N? You want to go in?"
"Can we just go?" She quivered.
"Oh! Y-yah. Spencer's?"
"Yah."

She still sat there staring, so I took her hand and led her along to the store.
"Hey, you sure you're okay?"
She smiled.
"Yah, it's just... that's when we found out... about Christine."
Ohhhhh...
I traced my finger down her back and wrapped my arm around her. She sighed and hugged my arm.

"I'm sorry. It's silly."
"It's not silly. I understand completely."
She giggled and unraveled form my arm.
"Thanks. Now let's find those (fandom) pins!"
Her eyes lit up at the very statement, and she bounced around Spencer's Gifts, sifting through shirts and accessories.
She looked so cute.

*time skip*

It was late that night, and I was sitting on my bed, trying to beat Doom: Level 3.
I leaned forward, peering at the TV in anticipation and concentration.
"Al...most..."
BANG BANG BANG BANG!!
I jolted at the loud noise and turned around.
Y/N was standing at my window, panting and banging.

I rolled off my bed and hit the pause button.
I stumbled to the window and snapped the locks open, pulling it open.
She pushed it up and fell in, panting heavily.
"Thanks *huff*..."
She laid on the floor for another second before wobbling up and collapsing on my bed.
"You okay? Why are you so out of breath?"
I asked.

"I sprinted all the way here."
My eyes popped open and I raised an eyebrow.
"You sprinted all the way here? Why?!"
She giggled.
"I don't know. I didn't want to walk. It was... scary." She giggled more.
"Why are you laughing?" I sat down next to her.

"Cause it's dumb. There's nothing to be scared of out there. I've walked this route a bazillion times before."
She laughed harder.
"So what were you scared of?"
I crawled next to her and she laid on top of me, her head rested on my chest. I twirled a strand of her hair with my finger and she played with my bracelets.

"The oak tree... by the blue house. On the end of the street. That's where he took me. He hit my head against the tree, I remember that. And my vision was fading... he threw me in the car."
She laughed harder.

"That feels so weird to say out loud. He *giggle* hit my head against a tree *giggle* and shoved me in a car! Hahaha!" She laughed.
I wasn't sure if I was happy or scared.
Maybe both.
She was clearly blowing off some well built up steam, but was she also having a breakdown?

"Hey... are you okay?" I asked, kissing her head.
She stopped giggling and just smiled, sighing sweetly.
"Great. I needed to say that out loud."
I laughed.

"Well good. Just... please don't walk here at night anymore. I can come pick you up or something, just stop walking by yourself at night please, pretty please."
I shook her slightly. She hugged my arm tighter.
"I promise Michael. Now what are we playing?"
