Michael's POV
I sat at home, watching a blank TV screen.
It had been getting harder and harder to go see Y/N. To see her still sleeping, lifeless, next t that Heather girl.
Every time anyone tried to be supportive, it made me sadder.

"She was protecting us."
"She was so brave."
Yah I know. Why'd did they let her do that then? Why didn't they help?

I had been subconsciously avoiding people, even Jeremy. It was just... all a lot to process. If I ever felt like that, Y/N was there. She was my muse, my source of light.
(Get the reference?)
There was a knock at the front door.

I sighed and stood up, trudging to the door.
"What do you wa-"
I opened the door and Jeremy stood there, frowning.
"Michael." He said sternly.
He stepped in and half-shut the door.
"Why have you been avoiding me?"

I sighed.
"Because... because I'm upset! Why wouldn't I be!! I usually have Y/N here with me! She helps me through thick and thin. Her very presence makes me happy. She lights the room up...
And I thought I had her back but she's still at that goddamn hospital!!!"
I screamed, tears threatening to pour.

Jeremy smirked.
"WHAT ARE YOU SMILING AT?!?"
He shrugged.
"Would a present make you feel better?" He asked, reaching into his coat pocket.
"I don't want any goddamn present Jer."
He frowned, his hand falling at his side.
"Not even... this present?"
He reached behind him and pushed the door open. In the frame stood...

Y/N.

I froze in my tracks, my mouth hung open, my eyes wide as the moon.
"Y-Y/N?"
She stood there, smiling, looking like an angel.
The sun shone in her (h/c) hair, her eyes gleaming, her smile wide.

She ran past Jeremy and into my arms, her feet dangling, her arms around my neck.
I almost couldn't move. My head tingled.
My face wet with tears as I wrapped my arms tightly around her waist, crying into her shoulder.

She groaned, and I almost laughed but I set her down and she held her side.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry it's just..." she pulled her shirt up and there was a large bruise on her abdomen.
"Oh-oh my god. I-uh... are you okay?"
She nodded, still smiling.

She grabbed my face, pulling it to her and placing her lips on mine.
I bent down to her height, and kissed back, hugging her.
I looked back at Jeremy and he smirked and 👌.
I rolled my eyes and picked Y/N up by the waist, her feet dangling down and brought her to the couch.

We plopped down and I hugged her close to me. She snuggled into my chest and I hugged her tightly, but not too tight.
I wasn't sure where else she had injuries. It kind of scared me.

"I missed you so much." She whispered.
It broke my heart.
"I missed you too. I missed you more than you know."
She sighed and reached her hand up, playing with my hair.
"I would've called you when I woke up but Jeremy said this would be more fun. Also my phone kinda got smashed by NASA shirt."
I laughed.

"NASA shirt?"
"Yah, that what I called him."
"Huh. I think Jeremy called him Glasses. Christine called him Dave."
She laughed, a wonderful sound.
"Dave?"
"Yah. Oh that reminds me..."
I pulled at her sleeve, checking for her "mark" and what I saw made me freeze.

"What?" She asked.
"You have a different mark."
She sat up.
"What? What do you mean? I had the same mark as Heather."

I frowned.
"No, everybody else had this weird star thing. Your's looks more like an amoeba."
She giggled.
"An amoeba?"
"Yah. Everyone else had a star though. Why'd you two have a different one?"
She shrugged.
"Hell if I know!"

I laughed and kissed her forehead.
"Well lets just... not worry about it right now."
She sighed.
"I love you Micah~" she snuggled into me.
I blushed and my heart fluttered.
"I love you too N/N."
