Y/N POV
I woke up in a hospital bed. The room was dark and quiet, except for the eerie beeping of some machinery behind me, and the distant yelling of doctors outside.
I looked to the window, and it was pitch black outside, the stars blazing in the night sky.

I didn't like hospitals too much, the thought of injured, sick, and dying people all trapped in the same building. The same building with insane-asylum-white walls, pills in every nook and cranny, and staff like drones ready to poke you with a scalpel first chance they get.

I was fiddling with my hands, and noticed my arms, covered in bandages. The were some wrapped around my head too. I guess she did more damage than I thought.

I sat up and swung my legs over the edge of the bed, struggling to get to my bathroom.
I flicked the light on and stared at myself in the mirror. I had a faded black eye, and I looked a little pale. That's probably to be expected from just getting attacked though.

I wonder what's happened to my mom? Will she go to jail, or will she skip away?
Either wouldn't be surprising.

I returned back to my bed and checked the clock, 2:47 a.m.
I sighed and stared out the window again. The trees swayed playfully in the crisp night air. God how I envied them.

I stood up and put on my regular clothes, detaching wires and I.V.s from my arm. I stood up, collecting my things, and slipped out the door. Nobody seemed to notice my departure, so I quickly made my way to the elevator and hit the first floor button, ready to leave this god forsaken building.

Once I made it out, I realized I didn't have a car there. I sighed and decided to take a nice stroll instead. I knew the town pretty well, I could make it home.

Of course, now I didn't want to go home. Home was marked as dangerous ground.
Instead I went to one of the only other places I felt safe.

Michael's POV
I was up late, as usual, playing video games. I was right about to beat Level 7: The Demon, when I heard a tapping at my window.

I looked and saw a small figure standing there. I raised an eyebrow confused, and moved closer to see Y/N standing there. She smiled sheepishly and I gasped, running to open it.

I helped her inside and hugged her tightly.
"What are you doing here? Why aren't you in the hospital?"
I looked down at her and she shrugged.
"I didn't like it there." She said plainly.

I laughed and hugged her closer, kissing the top of her head. Her head was wrapped in bandages, and it made me sad to look at.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked.
She sighed and pulled away, plopping down on my bed.
"So what is this? Level 7? The demon is always so hard to b-"
"Y/N?"
She sighed again.

"I just... I'm fine. I just worry about my mom. I don't know what's going to happen to her."
I sat down next to her.
"Well, she attacked you. More than once evidently."
"But I'm all she had."
"Well then she shouldn't have lost the one things she had. If you are at an all time low, you don't drive away the one person you have left. Not for anything."

She blushed and looked at me, pecking my lips.
"I love you." She whispered.
Her voice sent chills down my spine and I kissed her back.
We laid down on my bed, and she curled up into my chest.
"I love you too." I whispered.

I sat there playing with her shirt until I heard her soft snoring. She looked so cute and peaceful, and soon I fell asleep too.

And everything's okay....
