Michael's POV
I walked into school, and saw Y/N at her locker. I walked up and wrapped my arms around her.
"Hey Y/N, what's u-"
"Get off me!" She yelled.
I stared at her dumbfounded. Rage engulfed her eyes and she glared at me."I don't want you talking to me, okay?"
I didn't know how to respond.
"W... what are you talking about?"
She scoffed and slammed her locker shut.
"Don't act like nothing happened. I'm not your little slut okay? I won't be used."
Shoot, her memory's lolled back to our fight, before we officially got together. She stalked away and I sat there, my heart and my head hurting. This was all a lot to deal with, and I was still waiting for it to get better but it wasn't. I was scared it never would be.
I thought back to when we were at the hospital.
I'll be here every step of the way. I told her.
I'm going to stick to my promise.
I threw my bag over my shoulder and stalked back to my car.*time skip*
Y/N POV
I sat at lunch, munching on my fries, when Michael came and plopped down next to me. He looked out of breath and panting.
I hated how it drew me to him."Go away." I mumbled.
He sighed and pulled out a thick, yellow envelope. Inside was a thick stack of pictures. He pulled one out and showed it to me.
"Y/N, you have to remember okay? We were together. I love you." He pleaded.
I raised an eyebrow and looked at the picture. It was me and him, sitting in his car. I had a hairbrush in one hand and he had his mouth open like we were singing. I don't even remember this.
He studied my face desperately and pulled out another picture. This one was the two of us with Christine, Jeremy, Jake and Rich. We were all out at some roller rink. We had skates on and Jeremy was just about falling over.
I looked frantically, trying to find the memory of this, but I couldn't.
"W-when did this happen?" I gaped.Michael sighed and pulled out another picture, this one had just me. I was wrapped in Michael's sweater on his bed. I could see the snow fogging the window outside, and I looked so happy in his sweater.
"H-h-How did y-you get t-this? When did this happen?!" I screamed. He frowned."Come on Y/N, remember!" He shouted.
I scoffed and tried to walk away, collect my thoughts, but he grabbed my arm."Please Y/N." He pleaded. His facial expression cracked my heart a little, but that was all clouded by confusion.
Suddenly it was like my brain sparked. I remembered being wrapped in his sweater, the warm feeling wrapped around me.That day it was snowy and I took his jacket. He thought I looked cute and took a picture. We were watching (f/m) and then something happened, but I can't remember that part.
I grabbed my head, as if this was a headache I experienced. It was bafflement more than anything, really.Michael looked hopeful. I stared down at his jacket, and held the sleeve. He reached his arm out and continued to stare at my eyes. I looked in his brown ones, and squinted.
"What the hell is happening?" I whispered.
He smiled. "You're remembering."
"What the hell does that mean?!"
He held me close to him and kissed me, making my face go red.
Suddenly my brain sparked again.I remembered kissing Michael on his front doorstep. He was so happy and confused, and he apologized profusely. Something about... our fight. He apologized?! How did I forget this?
His lips were pure bliss on mine and I kissed back, my lips moving in sync with his.He pulled away and looked at me happy beyond belief.
"Y/N? Do you remember?"
"I remember... us?" I said.
"Good enough for me." He giggled. As we walked out I got one last brain spark.
My mother, throwing stuff, yelling, hurting me. A vase hit my head. That must be why I forgot things.
Amnesia.It all made sense now.
I looked at Michael and whispered,
"My mom." He nodded.
"Amnesia."
"You remember." He smiled.
"Finally."
We got in his car, and I buckled my seatbelt, plugging in his phone and turning on Marley.
"Slushies!" I yelled, pointing out the window.
He laughed and turned the keys..
