Part 1 When Stella first started

My name is Stella Kidd, I grew up with foster parents, all living in Chicago
and two of the same blood brothers.
Unfortunately, my Dad died in a car wreck involving a drunk driver and my mom is a drug addict.
But my foster family loved me and cared for me and my brother's.
There is my back story,here is my present life in Chicago.

I headed into firehouse 51 being a nervous wreck. I could tell by walking up to the fire station that this was not going to be easy.
I walked up to a paramedic who looked like she
Knew what she was doing.

"Hi my name is Stella Kidd I am the new candidate for firehouse 51".
I said to the Paramedic cleaning out her Ambulance truck.
She turned around to see me.
"Oh Hi I'm Sylvie Brett,you must be the transfer."

"No I am just the new candidate,I am supposed to meet chief Boden."
I said back.
Oh my bad,I can show you where his office is.
She said hopping out of the Ambo and leading me into the steel doors.
It's nice to meet you,are you from around Chicago?
She asked me as she turned around while she walked to his office.

"Yes born and raised".I said back
You?
I asked her.
"Actually I am from Fowler-ton Indiana."I did not get a lot of action as a paramedic in Indiana as I do in Chicago.
"Oh I bet."I said as she led me into a somewhat small office.
"Alright here he is."
She said as she walked out of his office.

Chief Boden?
"I am the new candidate for Firehouse 51."
I said as he looked at me.
"Oh yeah please sit."
"Nice to meet you."
I said reaching out my hand to shake his.
"You too,so you are assigned to Captain Matt Casey.
He said as he handed me paperwork to fill out.
"That is for your locker and PPE".
I read the paper in my hand.
Personal Protective Equipment.
"Also if you turn in your paperwork today,you can get your gear early at the end of shift today."
"Okay thank you Chief".
I said as he nodded and I practically leaped out of my chair to head to my locker.
As nervous as I was I had to give up the fear because here I was at Firehouse 51 ready to fight fires,and rescue people.
I was excited.
I headed to my locker to see other people at their lockers.
As I walked up several of the people their greeted me with smiles.
I met Firefighter's Cruz and Otis.
They were goofy and I could tell we were already friend's.
I shoved my bag into my locker,quickly filled out the paperwork and changed.
After I changed I turned in my paperwork immediately.
Then I walked to the same room,that Brett walked me in when we met.
It looked like a lounge area which I did not notice before because we were walking so fast.
I then saw someone standing in a kitchen,and I quickly walked up to a tall muscular firefighter.
"Hi, I am Stella."
"The new Candidate".
I said holding out my hand to shake his.
Do you have a last name?
He said as he laughed.
"Yes sorry Stella Kidd."
I said nervously as my face suddenly turned hot.
"Nice to meet you Stella Kidd."
He said.
"I am Lt.Severide he responded with shaking my hand in the process."
"Did Chief Boden Assign you to any Fire truck yet?"
He asked me as he drank what looked like coffee.
"Yes I am assigned to Truck 81".
I said back,"With Captain Matt Casey".
"He is a good Captain."
He said back,
"I wish you were placed with Squad."
But You will be great in Truck 81.
"Thank you". I said and he nodded
And headed out to the garage.
I could tell this was going to be a change,but I could handle it.
I just can't wait for my first call.

Then an alarm sounded off.
Truck 81,rescue squad 3,Ambulance 61
Factory fire.
Everyone but me got up to the call in a rush.

"Come on candidate get moving",Lt.Casey said.
"I don't have any gear yet".
I said back
"Use the extra in the closet."
"Hurry up."
"The closet is right outside."
I rushed to the closet,quickly got changed and ran outside to see they had almost left without me.
I hopped on and the firetruck headed out.
